Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has written to George W Bush proposing "new solutions" to their differences.
The letter will be sent via the Swiss Embassy which represents US interests in Iran, a government spokesman said.
Mr Ahmadinejad proposes "new solutions for getting out of international problems and current fragile situation of the world", the spokesman said.
Reports say it is the first letter from an Iranian president to a US leader since the Iranian revolution in 1979.

Boy, I really like the way you think, Captain Rhino, I sincerely do.
Must be getting advice from Madame Halfbright who insists that the President ought to have direct negotiations with the Iranian despot.
He apparently thinks the world is his 'stage' and would not want any of his performances missed.
I'm sure that Ahmadinejad has Bush's phone number. Why didn't he just call? Wanted the stage for himself, that's why...
Dear Mr. Ahmadinejad,
Our answer is no.
Have a nice day,
G. W. Bush
I have a picture of this letter in my head..
It says, "I like you. do you like me? (Check Yes or No)
G.F.Y. doesn't stand for "Good for you"???
NUTS.
Yep. This is yet another in a long line of ploys to buy time and attempt to show the world that Iran is just the latest "victim" of the big bully USA.
When we reject this latest ploy, Iran will go around saying "See, we tried to negotiate, but America wouldn't listen".....
Actions speak louder than words (on both sides)
All PR. If the letter was indeed a genuine attempt to remove the impasse and resolve the situation, why even disclose to the public the existence of such a letter? This is not the way to conduct behind-the-scenes diplomacy.

A reply would be in order......
My dear President Ahmadinejad
I have received yours of 8 May and thank you for your welcome opening of a dialogue.
Rather than a paper dialogue, I believe it would be in the best interest of both the great nations of Iran and the United States Of America for us to become better aquainted.
I would welcome the opportunity to have you visit me at my private retreat at Camp David in Maryland. I think you will like the place so much you may never leave.
My Very best regards
W "
Why doesn't he just email the letter?
Does he have the mad mullahs' permission to do that?
Ahmadinejad is gay!!!
Are you trying to impress me somehow in regards to this BS letter?
The point is, this is a World concern and issue. Not an exclusive US/Iran issue, and that Iranian Madman should not be allowed to make it such.
Again...

Herr Ahmadinejad wishes only to protect the Sudeten Shiites. This is his last territorial demand.
Bush doesn't deal with terrorist. I hope this keeps up.
Send it to Stinky encased in a Soap on a Rope.
