Inland Valley Daily Bulletin Inaccurate (Border Patrol rebuts Minutemen report)

Inland Valley Daily Bulletin Inaccurate

(05/09/2006)Statement Today’s report by the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, “U.S. tipping Mexico to Minuteman patrols,” is inaccurate. Border Patrol does not report activity by civilian, non-law enforcement groups to the Government of Mexico. During a detention of a legal or illegal immigrant that produces an allegation of improper treatment, Border Patrol reports the allegation and allows the appropriate consulate to interview the individual in custody.

This is consistent with the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations of 1963 that provides consular access to foreign nationals being detained by a foreign government. This is the same agreement that protects United States citizens when they travel to foreign countries.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Border Patrol continues to appreciate the efforts of civilians who contact law enforcement authorities regarding suspicious activity.

"How does calling someone a troll (unless it's obvious they are) or unAmerican further the discussion?"

It doesn't. (But don't tell anyone. It's a secret).

Does anybody realize the seriousness of this report if what the newspaper reporter said was true -- and I believe her. Also, how were the Minutemen being spied on within the U.S? Warrantless wiretaps circumventing the FISA court? Makes one wonder. Collusion with the corrupt government of Mexico in order to help illegal aliens cross illegally into our country and to make the Minutemen seem ineffective will not look good for "open borders" Bush with the majority of Americans. All I needed to know from the past in order to believe this news reporter's story now, and not the Bush spin machine, was remembering back how Bush called the Minutemen "vigilantes" when he was in the presence of Mexico's Presidente Fox.

(My bold)

LOL!

The belief in propaganda begets the belief in more propaganda.

"A victory of the left is a victory for evil over good. That's the goal here."

Can't disagree with that.

And, President Bush, I wanted to ask you about your opinion about those people who are hunting migrant people along the border. PRESIDENT BUSH: I'm against vigilantes in the United States of America. I'm for enforcing law in a rational way. That's why you got a Border Patrol, and they ought to be in charge of enforcing the border. http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2005/03/20050323-5.html

".. can't wait to read the response to your question"

Well, I confess that I finally quit holding my breath. It appears that in the great chatfest known as FreeRepublic, I am chopped liver. Rather than asking for a discussion of the article that started this whole goatrope, I guess I should just sling some names and toss around a lot of empty rhetoric.

I'll tell you.

It outs a lot of people who are trying to destroy conservatism.

If that's not valuable to a conservative, I don't know what is.

DU infiltrates this place all the time. To not suspect overt disruptors is to be terribly naive.

ROFLMAO, Well isn't that convenient,

Hey Einstein, I responded to your claim that you were a "partial supporter" and you say you support him in the ways you said, and I ask for ONE, Just One comment in your miserable existence here and you point me to your comment after you claimed you are a "partial supporter" on this thread.... very Clintonesque of you I might say!

Yes, I'm calling you a liar

So you're agreeing with the characterization of the Minute Men as people who "are hunting migrant people"?

I don't know about you, but anyone who WAS hunting migrant people, I'd call them vigilantes, too.

Just as with Dubai, too many people who are usually, properly bashing the MSM are allowing them to whip Republicans up against Republicans.

Read.

Think.

"Does anybody realize the seriousness of this report if what the newspaper reporter said was true --"

That is almost word for word a Democrat talking point. "It's not the nature of the evidence (or lack thereof) that matters, it is the seriousness of the charges." You believe a reporter that provides zero evidence to support her claims. Impressive.

Read the transcript, is it that hard for you to do?

Are you a propaganda artist? or are you trying to annoy me?

"To not suspect overt disruptors is to be terribly naive."

I will agree with you there and I'm usually on top of that (although admittedly 2 a.m. is probably not my best time). My problem is with the nastiness between regular posters. I do NOT care for personal attacks and name calling. Discuss issues and not each other is my mantra.

I find it hard to believe that Bush would sacrifice his political support by allowing the US Governmemt to spy on the Minutemen even if he did call them "vigilantes".

He would not sacrifice a drop in the polls for such a thing!

I SAW the TV clip of the Q & A...when President Bush made that statement...you could tell he was warning any "generic" groups that might want to play vigilantes, NOT to do it.

He in no way even realized, IMHO..that the questioner was referring to the actual Minutemen, but if he did---he was just warning them not to go to that next level...IMHO>

Juan Hernandez and others are paid a lot of money by the Mexican government to articulate their self serving inane agenda.

One major problem I see is they have to defend those JERKs from all those anti-Gringo groups who want to exterminate whites and most blacks from their new Nation of Assland.

What I want to know is why law enforcement personnel and prosecutors are not arresting some of these radical leaders for preaching sedition and hate crimes against the federal government?

By The Way...This new Assland they preach about would probably be a third world nation with in a few years.

Requiring the new America to come in with massive amounts of foreign aid to quell the massive riots in East LA. Phoenix and Houston.
