Well ohioWfan, I gotta respond with a big OOOSHA!!! But us crazy Artillery folk are the only ones in the Army who do that. :) I've been out for many years now but I'll proudly carry my time in the Army with me for the rest of my days.
That's the version on the official Army page, so it would be hard to match the harmony.
Finally, tell your son that there are still many of us praying for them, sending warm wishes and are in full support of their efforts.

Well, you learn something new every day. I never knew you Artillery guys gave OOOSHA's instead of HOOAH's! :)
The one thing I've been amazed by since our son joined the military at 17 (two weeks before 9/11), is that the brotherhood in the military is so incredibly strong. He has a kinship with WWII vets, Korean War vets, Viet Nam vets, and everyone else in between. It's been neat to see him talk with 80 year old men who are his brothers. I've always had a deep respect for the military (Dad.....WWII), but it's grown exponentially in the past 5 years.
