That wouldn't happen. Border issues? Duh.

Uh dirt, those type of comemnts come from an almost cult that posts incessently on FR, that sees people picking food or building shelter or even having a picnic as "evil". Aw, jeez. Not this crap again.

Onyx, here is one poster who is not for border security first, BTW. LM seems to be unwilling to learn from Reagan's amnesty that you cannot deal with those already here without closing the door first, or else more come in the door. I must have overlooked LM's post. Where is it? I have tracked LM and can't find where LM is not for border security first.

lol. Ironically, your post made me think of the movie Escape from New York.
We cant do this half way. We need to pull the rug out from under these illegals that are here now. It seems, to me anyway, that deporting them would be a logisitical nightmare and one that we would find a way to screw up.
But if we take away their reason for being here, then they will either leave, or come begging for us to move them out. (And yes there will be some that just become criminals, I have concidered that).

LOL.....
Ya beat me on that reply...
Bush was very clear that a secured border was critical to the rest of it succeeding in taking the pressure off the border and correcting past mistakes.
Much improved border security was always tied to the comprehensiveness of the plan. He said it more times then I can count and he never wavered..

I was waiting for that!!!

There are so many falsehoods and misunderstandings in that post it is hard to know where to begin.
The biggest error is to believe turning over the House will make the GOP more conservative. Only a fool can believe that. In FACT, it will make the GOP more liberal if that is the way the votes went.
The biggest falsehood and it IS a WHOPPER is that al Queda is coming over the souther border. Anyone who has thought about this seriously knows that the northern border is FAR more likely to be the place terrorist cross for several reasons.
How idiotic does one have to be to attack the party which is standing with conservatives on the Illegals issue? The House bill is to conservatives liking and 2/3 of the GOP Senators voted against the bill conservatives hate. So you are claiming that we should punish the GOP? There is no other name for this than INSANITY.
BTW it is unfortunate that you don't have a chance to vote for the Nazis or Hamas so you could REALLY teach the GOP a lesson. No one can figure exactly what that "lesson" is unless it is "many of us are dumb as rocks".

The exceptions you might recall, such as CFR, were forced by petition. And that IMO could happen here. We'll just have to see. I have a fair degree of confidence that the House GOP will hold the line here. Peter King has been absolutely resolute.

What to do with the various city authorities who want the illegals in their midst. Or should I say in our midst, since they don't have to live with the problem. Their children are in private schools and they live in safe neighborhoods.

No, but the head got hot. I may not be a republican, but I am certainly no liberal. I think there are some ostrich-republicans chucking around the troll term who should reallly look in the mirror, because they are the ones supporting liberal republicans, NOT conservatives, which is the mission of FR according to the front page.
I like FR and sure don't want to get banned, but have other places to go if necessary.
Thanks for the compliment, btw.

Thank you so much for this. I have been so discouraged of late reading all the Bush bashing postings. I thought I was seeing this forum disintegrate right before my eyes.
You have said what has been in my heart. I fear too many have fallen before the liberal onslaught already or that the dark side has become much more clever with the postings.
I have to say that I have not been coming here quite as often as I have in the past because of all the negativity and juvenile bashings. I long for the intellectualism of only a few months ago.
To: SeaBiscuit
I am NOT a defeatist at all.
That you would read that into my post is amazing.
He's already said he would sign the legislation presented to him and I am directing my efforts to the lawmakers responsible.
