In recent months, ABC reporter Bill Blakemore has been a passionate proponent for getting all that harmful objectivity and balance out of reporting on the impending disaster of global warming. So it shouldn't be surprising -- it should flow naturally, like a melting glacier -- that Blakemore is using ABC's World Newser blog to plug Al Gore's new documentary "An Inconvenient Truth." The filmmakers could use Blakemore's review here as a promotional blurb. He calls it "96 minutes well spent," says "Regardless of your politics, it's riveting and informative," not to mention "remarkably clear, concise, and informative."

Someone should ask the genius Gore, and the reporter for that matter, where the glaciers that covered most of north American went...

And how come the seashores were more than 20 feet inland from the present - 1000 years ago! What was the Mini Ice Age - that's an inconvenient truth for Gore and accomplices.

Myself, I wouldn't mind a longer stretch of summer...

Just because man has build his castles on the receded coast line doesn't mean nature wont follow her cycles and flood them out. (towns on the "Mighty Mississip" learned the folly of building in a flood plain. Mark Twain predicted it: "The Mississippi River will always have its own way, no engineering skill can persuade it to do otherwise... " (The same principle with New Orleans?)

I take comfort in thinking that, in God's Many Mansions - we each go to the one that most fits what we have made of ourselves down here, i.e., that we end up for eternity with folk like ourselves.

That would mean that Gore, Kennedy, Kerry, Reid, Pelosi, Carter, Clintons, et al, will spend eternity in one another's company. Sounds like perfect justice to me :o)

Ahhhm - Google stuff on the 'mini ice age', the weather 1000 years ago - per the Viking Sagas - the contemporary scientists who have plausible data that we could be headed for, not global warming, but another mini-ice age precisely because the glaciers in Antarctica are melting....

Earth is in control - and will do her thing. WE can build levees, pass laws, stomp and pontificate and lie for political/power grabs - but in the long run, nature will run her cycles as she has for millions of years.

The coastlines may well come in 20' and flood out a lot of man's building where they shouldn't have. That is nothing to Ma Nature. Her coastline waters were mush higher than an add'l 20' 1000 years ago.

Maybe a new mini ice age and a global warming will balance each other out and things will stay as they are now - myself, I could use some warming up here in the NO East...
