I agree. I loved Egypt even with it's poverty and I plan to go back again.
I love ancient Egyptian History and there is certainly a lot to see.

The entrance is reminiscent of Bergen-Belsen.

I agree. I loved Egypt even with it's poverty and I plan to go back again. I plan on going late this year. Several of my co-workers have already been and I've heard nothing but good things.
I think I'll pass on the theme park, though.

Homer Simpson would have been right at home on the monorail, though.

That pretty well sums up the Third World. A one-time purchase of Western technology that is never maintained.

Would that be the "Nasser Memorial Shooting Gallery"?

"Question #18, can you get mono from riding the monorail?"
"......mmm...no.. Wait, yes! Yes!"
In this case, I think you actually could, amongst other things..

Ah, yes - that would be "Mr. Gun" - you have to wonder which side of the firearm is more dangerous.
I will say that the spare-tire-and-concrete exhibit is an amazing simulation of a trash pile. Looks just like the real thing...

Somebody in the comment thread at that forum where this is posted suggested getting at least the monorail running and re-opening it is a paintball field.
I think that's a pretty good idea. :-)
