California-born al Qaeda member Adam Gadahn speaks out against U.S. troops on a video that has been released by As-Sahab, the terror network's video-production outfit.
The video deals primarily with the London subway bombings of 2005, but includes a five-minute speech from Gadahn, in English, in which the American lashes out at allegations of war crimes recently leveled at U.S. troops in Iraq.
Mentioned specifically are alleged incidents in Mahmoudiya and Haditha.
In the video, Gadahn says the incidents represent a pattern of U.S. and British brutality toward Muslims, and he says he saw U.S. soldiers kill civilians in Afghanistan.
"They have murdered thousands of Afghan civilians," he says. "I have seen it with my own eyes, carried the victims in my own arms. You name it, they have bombed it."
Gadahn has appeared in previous al Qaeda videos wearing a mask, but his face is uncovered in the new video.
Gadahn is wanted in connection with possible terrorist threats against the United States, according to the FBI.
He found Islam after moving into his grandparents' Santa Ana home, where he began exploring Internet message boards about religion and reading English translations of the Quran.
"You see, I discovered that the beliefs and practices of this religion fit my personal theology and intellect as well as basic human logic," Gadahn wrote in the essay.

If I posted my response to this, Jim Rob would have to ban me.
s'ok - I think I can guess pretty close :o)
As long as you just think about it and don't verbalize nor post what you think what I would post/say.:)
FBI says he was just one member of a Khalid Sheikh Mohammed-hatched plot to blow up gas stations in the Baltimore area. The lead conspirator in the plot was Pakistani Majid Khan --a relative of convicted Pakistani al Qaeda operative Iyman Faris--who was sentenced last fall for his role in plotting to sabotage the Brooklyn bridge. Also reportedly tasked on the Baltimore bomb plot was Pakistani Uzair Paracha, charged last summer with aiding al Qaeda operatives seeking entry into the U.S.

In the Name of Allah, most Compassionate, most Merciful
Becoming Muslim
Yahiye Adam Gadahn
As I began reading English translations of the Qur'an, I became more and more convinced of the truth and authenticity of Allah's teachings contained in those 114 chapters. Having been around Muslims in my formative years, I knew well that they were not the bloodthirsty, barbaric terrorists that the news media and the televangelists paint them to be. Perhaps this knowledge led me to continue my personal research further than another person would have. I can't say when I actually decided that Islam was for me. It was really a natural progression. In any case, last week [November 1995 -ed.]I went to the Islamic Society of Orange County in Garden Grove and told the brother in charge of the library I wanted to be a Muslim. He gave me some excellent reading material, and last Friday I took Shahada [accepted the creed of Islam -ed.]in front of a packed masjid. I have spent this week learning to perform Salat and reflecting on the greatness of Allah. It feels great to be a Muslim! Subhaana rabbiyal 'azeem!

Adam Gadahns Extremist American Imam
May 28, 2004
"He was becoming very extreme in his ideas and views. I never thought that he would go to that level."
Thats what Muzammil Siddiqi says about Adam Gadahn, the American convert to Islam and one of seven suspected Al-Qaeda operatives sought by the FBI.
But Siddiqi, the Executive Director of the Islamic Society of Orange CountyGadahns former mosque, is the real extremist. Siddiqi taught regular classes and delivered the weekly Friday afternoon sermons at Gadahns mosque. And given his views, its no surprise that Gadahn is now suspected of involvement with terrorists.

Gadahn, who was named Wednesday as one of seven suspected al-Qaida operatives sought by the FBI, was later expelled from the mosque after attacking an employee. Records show he pleaded guilty to assault and battery charges in June 1997 and was sentenced to two days in jail and 40 hours of community service. ...
He was becoming very extreme in his ideas and views, said Muzammil Siddiqi, the societys religious director. He must have disliked something.

In the meantime, I had become obsessed with demonic Heavy Metal music, something the rest of my family (as I now realize, rightfully so) was not happy with. My entire life was focused on expanding my music collection. I eschewed personal cleanliness and let my room reach an unbelievable state of disarray. My relationship with my parents became strained, although only intermittently so. I am sorry even as I write this.

Muzammil Siddiqis Islamic Society of Orange County
Kenneth Timmerman has noted that during an anti-Israel rally outside the White House on Oct. 28, 2000, Siddiqi openly threatened the United States with violence if it continued its support of Israel. America has to learn...if you remain on the side of injustice, the wrath of God will come. Please, all Americans. Do you remember that?...If you continue doing injustice, and tolerate injustice, the wrath of God will come. Timmerman adds, Siddiqi also has called for a wider application of Shari'a law in the United States, and in a 1995 speech praised suicide bombers. Those who die on the part of justice are alive, and their place is with the Lord, and they receive the highest position, because this is the highest honor, he was quoted as saying by the Kansas City Star on Jan. 28, 1995.[3]

An image from the September 11, 2005 tape of "Azzam the American", believed by US intelligence officials to be Adam Gadahn
In 2005, on the fourth anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks, an eleven minute videotape message purportedly from Al-Qaeda was broadcast on the ABC News program Good Morning America. The American English-accented speaker, a man whose face was partially concealed, was identified by US intelligence officials to be Gadahn. The speaker criticized US foreign policy and military activity, particularly in Iraq and Afghanistan, and he suggested that there would be future attacks in Los Angeles, California and Melbourne, Australia: "Yesterday, London and Madrid. Tomorrow, Los Angeles and Melbourne, God willing. At this time, don't count on us demonstrating restraint or compassion."[7]
Officials say the man in this video is Adam Gadahn
US officials say they are confident, but not certain, missing Californian Adam Gadahn is the man who threatened al-Qaeda attacks in a recent video.
Bump for later
Thanks for the background. My old memory felt that you had some great background on this Terrorist Wannabe.
My exact sentiments. Giving this filthy bottom feeder a platform to what end?
Sort of like the white OJ juror?
I'll bet that's exactly what this punk was. They say Michael Moore was another one who couldn't pay to get laid in high school. I think a lot of guys who are afraid of or just plain hate women would be attracted to Moon-godism.
First I thought the story was about Cindy Sheenan. Then I thought maybe some democrat.
What is the price on his head and how can we contribute to it?
Thanks for your comments and bringing back memories re, "You are a mess!", and your recent donation to Free Republic.
Seriously, there are things we/I don't discuss around our grand kids and when our Mothers were still alive.
So with certain people and topics, I limit what I post or reply on Free Republic. Jim Rob has enough problems re bad positng, without worrying about people like me.
What we were taught in childhood comes full circle and you obviously had a good raising.:o)
And God bless Jim Rob - no one is better suited to run a vibrant forum like this although it must seem like running a day care at times.........so many different personalities and views. - not to mention trolls.
I had good parents and grandparents.
My inlaws were excellent people.
