Proving once again that fools and their money are soon parted...
Where tequila is involved, they deserve to lose it..

I can tell the difference between the cheap bar brand and the better stuff. There is also a difference in taste with chilled verus non-chilled. I'm a chilled Jose slammer myself with lemon and no salt. I first heard of sippin' tequila with Patron but I still prefer to just slam it back. To me that's how you should drink tequila.
To: Sax
Yep...Patron is fine stuff!

Tequila is the only liquor that no matter how much I drink I do not have a hangover.
To: Zakeet
However, marketing research has repeatedly shown that consumers can't tell the difference in blindfold tests between the taste of one brand vs. another. With Tequila you smell it. The good stuff won't make you gag.

On the other hand, the "price-quality illusion" is very much alive and well. Not entirely. With many distilled products more expense equal less debris and "roughage". Back in my drinking days I could only drink the distilled stuff if I didn't want an instant visit from Ralph and Earl after drinking a glass.

The FR nannys are going to slay you for the picture.... And well they should.
Showing PEPE LOPEZ bottles without the little sombreros is just wrong.

I have no earthly idea but it runs about $28 a bottle in Missouri so a shot can't be that bad. Frankly Caba Wabo is a little better (and owned by Sammy Hagar who I hear is at least semi conservative), but it's almost double the price.

The worm is gold gilt. They don't put worms in Tequilla. They do put them in Mescal.
To: expatguy
Yeah, I'd say so. Had bottles of Sauza, Herradura, Cabo Wabo, El Tosoro, and probably 3 or 4 others. The silver Patron is the one I always go back to.
Of course it's all personal preference.
