"If Israel attacks Syria by any means, on the ground, in the air, our leadership ordered the armed forces to reply immediately" Walid Muallem, Syrian foreign minister

SYRIA'S foreign minister yesterday offered to join militant group Hezbollah in its fight against Israel and said a regional war would be "most welcome" as more than 30 people in Israel and Lebanon were killed on one of the worst days since the conflict began.

Yeah you do that. That would give us an excuse to kick some Syrian butt.

Would they get pissed if Israel shot all the unused rockets they they are collecting in Lebanon into Damascus? What are they going to say if they are shot from Lebanon and they are their's to start with.

Give peace a chance? BS! They want a regional war, I think they should get one! Iran and Syria plus the major powers behind them, have a plan in mind.

Now THAT's a real threat.

Once Syria joins the war on the other side, your victory is assured.

The officials in Syria must have a flawed memory, unable to recall how their previous engagements with Israel have proceeded.

But then some people seem to have an overwhelming NEED to have their rumpus kicked on a recurring basis.

A fact not generally acknowledged, but the Israelis have one of the finest and most sharply honed intelligence gathering apparatus the world has ever seen (or not seen). This has made all the difference for decades. The Muslims know this, they fear it, and they make every effort to root it out by bringing charges of "Zionism" against some very disparate elements within their own countries.

Israel has the green light for Lebanon.

I doubt the same is true for Syria.

Quit talking and do it Syria. Give us the excuse that not even the traitor Democrat party can rationalize away. Way past time the thugs in Damascus got flattened

I heard two pundits on FOXNews yesterday -- one, an ex-CIA guy who's always on -- state that the US had to sit down forcefully with Syria & Iran and work out a deal. I was dumbfounded.

When I was a kid... I often wondered how Europe could have put itself in the position it found itself in 1938. How the Nazi's built a war-machine in the 1930's... while England & France disarmed. How college students signed the Oxford Pledge as Hitler paraded into Austria.

Now I know.

They are bluffing. Syria's Air Force will be gone within a few days. Bashir's castles will be gone within a couple hours. Most of their Russian tanks will eliminated in a week. Also, to the east they have the U.S. military to worry about.

"If Israel attacks Syria by any means, on the ground, in the air, our leadership ordered the armed forces to reply immediately" Walid Muallem, Syrian foreign minister

The ONLY reason that they would be talking like this is that they have rigged a chem/bio warhead for a long range missile.

LOL. Talk's cheap. Syria will fold as quickly as a cheap suit. The reality is they will do nothing except go to the UN and ask for a resolution against Israel. The Golan still remains in Israel's hands. Why haven't they done anything about that? Because they can't.

You might say they are caught between Iraq and a hard place.

Then again, you might not.
