Is this part of his deal with the KLINTON IRS to let him off the hook for back taxes?
That must have been a long time ago. Love his music but don't want to hear his political views.
From Redstate: http://www.redstate.com/stories/elections/2006/did_claire_mccaskill_obstruct_justice
Claire McCaskill just can't escape questions about her drug use and issues related thereto while in office.
An article from the June 29, 2004, edition of the Kansas City Star has recently come to light. The article by Mike McGraw raises questions "about how then Jackson County Prosecutor Claire McCaskill treated her office manager and friend who was caught up in [the] 1994 drug probe."
Unfortunately, I don't have a weblink to the article, but I have read it. The article discusses a 33 page report by a special prosecutor about what are considered "unresolved allegations" that "McCaskill told police not to arrest Anna Wiggins. Wiggins was connected to Ruth Carter, a methamphetamine dealer employed in the prosecutor's Independence, MO office."
According to the report:
"McCaskill told me that it would not be necessary to pick up Wiggins because she did not have any knowledge of Carter's involvement with drugs," Jensen stated in the Crane report.
Jensen said he asked McCaskill how she knew this. She allegedly replied that "she ran into Wiggins one day in the break room while at work and she had a discussion with Wiggins about Carter and she told Wiggins that Carter may not be the person she thought she was and she might want to stay clear of her."
Wiggins told The Starthat McCaskill never told her to stay clear of Carter.
Jensen was the "acting officer in charge of the Jackson County Drug Task Force. At the very least it seems McCaskill might have revealed too much to Wiggins during the course of the investigation.
What was he like before his lobotomy?
He's been drinking the bong water for a couple decades.
Doggone it; there goes the inbred, Red Neck vote.
But, I must admit, I like his music.
This inspires a song parody:
"I was going to campaign today but then I got high,
I was going to door to door but then I got high,
I forgot to vote for Claire and I know why,
'Cuz I got high, 'cuz I got high, 'cuz I got high.
Makes me glad I didn't go to the concert. Ugh!! Shut up and sing indeed.
Willie was REAL big on Carter, too
The article makes a misleading claim that Farm Aid has aided family farms. The 29 million has gone to lobbyists and organizational efforts to "raise awareness". It hasn't helped pay off the mortage of a single family farm.
Nah -- Nelly.
Willie, the "red headed stranger."
Let's update that moniker to "dyed red and just strange."
Willie, when I see you hoeing weeds out of beans, detassling corn, picking cotton, plowing a mule, or sharing the time in your life where you prayed for rain to save your farm, I might give you another glance.
You've been swilling hooch, riding on a bus, flying on jets and grinning like you're sincere.
I don't give a rats' ass about the callouses on your finger tips, show me evidence you've worked the land.
Imagine anti-terrorist Nicole Kidman endorsing Talent.
Yeah, we love dim witted dope smokers who don't pay their bills or taxes.
