Playground Politics [Hillary getting desperate alert] ^ |

Posted by Zakeet On 12/04/2007 8:22:55 AM EST Wall Street Journal ^ | December 3, 2007 | James Taranto As Democratic primary voters experience pre-emptive buyer's remorse--that is, second thoughts about Hillary Clinton's "inevitability"--a desperate Mrs. Clinton stands on the brink of losing all dignity. This is from a press release she put out last night: At an event in Boston this evening, Senator Obama claimed for the second time today that he is "not running to fulfill some long held plans" to be elected President, contradicting statements his friends, family, staff and teachers have all made about him. . . . In third grade, Senator Obama wrote an essay titled 'I Want To Be a President.' His third... |
Maybe I’m just tired this morning, but the Imus show seems so low-key that I’m feeling sleepy.
Iâm listening to the Gov. Huckabee interview and itâs classic Imus (except for the audio f*ups).Imus asks good questions and he has good answers.
He did address the road tax raise that everyone sites. He said to Imus you remember how bad the roads were. We fixed them.
Expect that fact to have an influence on the Imus show’s outlook towards all the other republican candidates for the remainder of the primaries.
Commentators have suggested there is growing panic inside Mrs Clinton's campaign that she could be beaten by Mr Obama when Iowa votes on 3 January. "I'm hearing that Hillary is ready to kill Bill," wrote the influential political blogger Arianna Huffington. "But it has nothing to do with his roving eye."
Some poor quality video of Imus’s set here.

Across the street from WABC he said.
Good morning everybody.
Haven’t gotten my eyes open yet. No idea what’s going on.
LOL. Technical problems continue at the Imus show.
They don’t seem to be able to talk to each other consistently.
Joe is on a tear this morning (I agree with him that we really need to stop poking into peoples’ religion and beliefs) and Mika is mercifully somewhere else.
I was wrong. The hateful Mika had a recorded interview with Ann Romney.
Don Rumsfeld is on with Bill Bennett. I am going to listen to this.
I can’t stand to hear any more stupid remarks on the NIE.
Fred Thompson skeptical of new intelligence report on Iran ^ |

Posted by rightinthemiddle On News/Activism ^ 12/04/2007 5:05:27 PM EST · 76 replies Associated Press ^ | 12-4-07 | Meg Kinnard Republican presidential candidate Fred Thompson said Tuesday he's skeptical of a new report that Iran halted its nuclear weapons program four years ago and questioned the United States' ability to gather intelligence. "I hope that they are accurate with this assessment, but right now, I don't have the confidence in our own intelligence capabilities to make that assessment," the former Tennessee senator said after speaking to dozens of supporters at a gun shop in this early voting state. "One thing that crosses my mind is that this is information that the Iranians have put out, that they want us to... |
Listened to some of Imus starting at 7 AM EST. Haven't heard Pat Buchanan's views since Imus went off. Ok I listened once. Noting to want me to listen again. His latest book sounds like we might as well kill ourselves, the world is going to end.
Craig Crawford will be on at sometime. I'll give him one shot at his analysis of the primaries. That's about the only time I listened to him back in the Dean/Kerry race.
LOL. I would not want to be part of the Buchanan household. How dismal.
Have Michael Savage interview Pat Buchanan and the lines into the National Suicide Hotline would burn out.
I said this yesterday but when I read some of the criticism of him he may just be another Slick Willie.
Here's a compilation of negative press: Arkansas Journal.
The Huckster has met with some retired generals in Iowa and he is now opposed to water boarding and wants to close Gitmo.
One meeting with a select group and he changes his position 180 degrees. Not good.
Kind of sounds like John Fng Kerry doesn't he. He sure didn't win any friends here with that position.
Huckabee: Lets Close Gitmo Because the World Doesnt Like It
I hate to criticize the guy because he's been a friend of FR but choosing our next presidential candidate is more important than that friendship.
I think it was Romney that said during a debate, "Id build more Guantanamos."
Good morning all.
Mika says before they said Iran was building nuclear weapons, now they say they are not. There is something missing, she brilliantly opines. LOL. What a dunce.
Listening to Andrea Mitchell (”Everyone knew Plame was CIA”), I see what this whole cooked up story about Iran is about. They want to portray the President as a liar in saying that Iran is dangerous.
Andrea is flailing around trying to say that the Administration is flailing around.
Mika picks up on the “intentional misleading” of the American people meme.
Andrea says that we have left leaders around the world hung out to dry.
This is incredibly dangerous, what they are doing (the media, that is).
Almost a little tiff there between Joe and Mika because Mika just can’t resist making her snotty interjections.
Joe said the one true thing I heard on this execrable program this morning. He says they cooked the intelligence, which is obvious to anyone paying attention to this “story.”
So Joe gets what is going on here and still pushes the meme that the President is lying to the people. What in the world is going on?
