I think a lot of FReepers grasped this instinctively. Doesn't surprise me. And a lot in the MSM didn't understand it, or simply don't want to understand it. Doesn't surprise me.

You're missing the main crime here. In 1993 we had the first WTC attack, and then we had NO terrorists attacks until the Embassy bombings and the Cole in the late 1990's. Humm, what were the terrorists doing in the mid 90's?
It's been fairly well established that the first WTC attack had ties to Iraq.
Clinton, through Jamie Gorelick, put up the wall right before OKC in early 1995. Why mention OKC that happened in April 1995? Because it was the next example of middle Eastern terrorism. IF you look at Jayna Davis' book, THE THIRD TERRORIST, you'll see without looking very hard that there were eight Iraqi soldiers that defected under Gulf War I rules. Bush I let them in as if the Iraqi soldiers went back home, they would have been killed.
NOW, how come Jayna's book has DOZENS of sworn statements describing McVeigh and Nichols with the Middle Eastern men (Iraqis) in Oklahoma City?
First of all, they said they saw them together FREQUENTLY because it's true, McVeigh and Nichols had help with the truck bomb. If you'll look a little bit into the background, you'll find many experts who say the bomb was NOT big enough to destroy the Federal Building in OKC.
So how come dozens of people said they saw McVeigh and Nichols together? Because the charges that destroyed in the building were IN THE BUILDING and placed there by the Iraqis. Don't believe it?
Do a little MORE RESEARCH and you'll find seismic traces from the explosion show MULTIPLE explosions.
Now why would all these people lie about what they saw? WHY , or even could experts be wrong about the amount of explosive power from the truck bomb be inadequate to destroy the building. DID you know that it was ILLEGAL to take pictures of the bomb crater? And of course a conspiracisy person like myself would say it's because the Feds knew what happened, and they weren't going to tell.
So, any reasonable person would conclude that the FEDS lied. WHY? It's simply because Bill Clinton decided there were NO terrorists involved in OKC. The patsies named McVeigh and Nichols were Rush Limbaugh inspired nuts, that were even less stable than Limbaugh (glance at Clinton's book on OKC, you'll see he basically says something to that effect).
Now, why would Clinton lie about terrorists? The answer according to Dick Morris: Because he could, because he didn't want to go to war, because he turned OKC from a 40% approval rating to over 50% in a week, and he didn't have to go to war.
The next act of terrorism? 1996 off of Long Island, HUNDREDS of people SWEAR they see a missile hit an airplane and kill hundreds of people in that airliner.
WHY would the Federal Government lie? Well, virtually no one knows why, but pressure is applied appropriately that forces an investigation to conclude a center fuel tank explosion. The CIA does a computer animation based on a witness testimony that never happened.
And the History Channel does special after special explaining why these conspiracy theories are wrong. These are "conspiracy" events because the population believes the government lied.
If you paid attention at the end of the 9/11 series, the hints about a major attack against airliners was coming. The warning was blocked "because we don't want to cause panic". Well, we didn't have panic before 9/11, did we because no one knew. We didn't know because information from terrorist attacks in the 1990's was blocked from us by Clinton getting re-elected.
Heck, you probably don't know that it was LBJ who killed JFK, do you? Ever think about faked autopsy photographs? How about witnesses that were ignored and then threatened?

I didn't join in the thread because my local San Diego ABC station was showing Chargers football instead of the rest of 9/11 program. We have to wait until NEXT SATURDAY to see the rest of the program. Disgusting!!
