Capturing the award as always for class and restraint in the most fractious situations, W SAYS that he's working with Congress on the Terrorist Interrogation Bill, instead of rightly cursing them in public for their brash partisan idiocy and intractability. His class, breeding and savvy are evident.
All the while, what he DOES behind the scenes, along with Rove, Cheney and other Pubbies in support, is what will win the day. That's what will count in the end. If it comes to a showdown, which W is setting in play .. I don't believe he'll sign any frivolous empty bill .. then where do the fingers point if another attack is revealed? Chess, not checkers.
