Hard to believe that many people would come out to watch bad football teams.

Hey! That stadium is trademarked! You better not be sellin' that photo!
To: groanup
You're right, I forgot. In the North they graduate with degrees of such brilliance as gender "studies". LOL.Not the football players. Check out the grad rates for places like Boston College, Penn State, Notre Dame, Stamford, Syracuse, and USC with places like Florida, FSU, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, and Mississippi.

ALABAMA: It only takes three. One to change it, and two to stand around and talk about how great the old bulb was.

Yeah, West By God Virginia University -- the team with the weakest schedule in the country!

LOL!! Yet somehow teams like Mississippi State, Mississippi and Kentucky get good crowds too...LOL
The only team that doesn't really draw well is Minnesota although they will still get about 50,000 to home games (the stadium only holds about 55k or so), but they are one of the few teams in all of college football that doesn't have a stadium on campus.

I'm not about to poke fun at the Big-10, because IMO, they're the closest to the SEC in terms of fan loyalty and quality football. But there's one thing the SEC has that no Big-10 team can compete with: "Saturday Night in Baton Rouge". ;^)

Yup...I've probably been to nearly 50 different college stadiums for fooball games over the years..
Wildest crowd, bar none....College Station..Aggies are insane..crowd is a blast.
Best whole game day experience....Michie Stadium at West Point. I mean, the parade of cadets before the game, and the view...
But the single best experience is watching the "I" in Ohio get dotted by the tuba player during halftime...crowd is wild..

Oh I think a Saturday night game in Happy Valley would compete very very well with it......
In fact, I can think of one last year, and then another one 2 years before that which involved Ohio State....
That place IS a zoo on a night game. There's just something about it.

Two words, baby. Nebraska!
(the "N" stands for Knowledge!)
I loved your post thanks so much. I'm in Big 10 County now, but went to college in Nebraska and it's just like you described football season is crazy.
