10-06-06 | no dems

Posted on 10/06/2006 3:27:59 PM PDT by no dems

All four candidates, one GOP, one Dem and two Indys will be holding the only debate for Texas Governor tonight at 7:00 p.m. Central time.

Gee, I wonder whose influence had this debate scheduled during Friday night football?

Great night for TV. The Guv debates...followed by the season premier of Battlestar Gallactica on Sci-Fi network. Time to fire up the grill and get this party started!

And then...the Texas-OU game tomorrow!

Kinky wants to DECRIMINALIZE pot, not legalize it. This would allow more room in the prisons for the real criminals, "pedophiles and politicians."

It won't be funded by taxpayers, like most roads are. And if you're in favor of no new roads in Texas ever, just say so. We'll all point fingers at you and laugh.

Care to explain how that works out? (I mean, with a straight face. No giggling.)

Whoa, I'd have to be smoking a doobie to see a distinction there.

Interesting. My mother is a yellow dog Dem from way back and refuses to support the Kinkster on account of his stance on Mary Jane. It is also interesting that some of my most liberal friends are supporting Kinky. Some of my most conservative friends are also supporting him. I don't know if this is any index of anything, but nontheless, there is the fact. Something else, My mom, again, who would vote for a yellow dog as long as it was a Dem, told me that under no circumstances would she vote for Hillary. Believe me, this is good news. Any Dem she turns her nose up against is really beyond the pale.

Tune in and watch Kinky Freeman kick butt.

Kinky is a liberal, no matter what you say.

If you're in favor of the Trans-Texas Corridor land grab, I'm already laughing at you.

Where exactly does the funds come from to pay for the eminent domain? The tooth fairy. Hint. Taxpayer dollars.

Not a single argument made in favor of the land grab makes sense in light of the comparatively little work involved with expanding I-35 instead.

>>I love how all you third party type "conservatives" are rallying around Kinky, who hates hunters, likes abortion on demand, wants to legalize gay marriage, and wants to legalize pot. <<

No surprise since there's hardly a dime's worth of difference between the typical Democrat and a Liberal-tarian.

Why wasn't the Libertarian candidate invited-anyone know?

IIRC, it is because the Libertarian Party didn't win a certain percentage of the vote in the last election. Independent candidates are governed by a different set of rules then established parties.

Personally, after listening to him on the news today, he has no right to be there. He said the only reason for running is to make sure the Republicans don't win.

Total moron.

My prediction on the night of Nov. 7th for the Tex. Gov. race is that Perry wins with a 45% plurality.

I'm astounded at the number of Texas FReepers who support Kinky.

Free Republic has a lot of people who vote Republican less than most Democrats do.

Misdemeanor for small amounts as opposed to a felony. Fine as opposed to jail.

Given what we have in politics today I don't understand how anybody new could be embarrassment.

That sounds about right. I like Kinky, but more and more, it's looking like style over substance. That one tough Grandma is really pathetic. What is she? Ex-Dem? Ex-Rep? Present day Independent? I think a clown really.
