They are not "Liberal-tarians." Quite the contrary. Libertarians object to the intrusiveness of the federal government into the lives of the citizenry. Many of our founding fathers were of a libertarian persuasion, hence the Constitution's limitation on the federal government and the 10th amendment. Unfortunately, too many succeeding congresses forsook the Constition and, using the "commerce clause," forced the federal government, under penalty of law, into areas that were not in the Constitution.
