The bastardly dumb shits in MSM must KNOW that the various gangs of sunni or shiite gangs are now in a game of oneupmanship -- gaining bragging rights from who can get their "snuff an American" video on American television....

CNN and other alphabet networks have earned the eternal contempt of the American warrior and hopefully the American public...

Perhaps I'll live long enough to see that contempt translated into a gratifying "consequence" for the sonsuvbitches, who hide behind the title "journalist".

Most Americans are too young or too poorly educated to see the repeat of the 60s/70's - with Leftists and Media working together to achieve with "popular opinion" what their Communist allies couldn't achieve on the battlefield...

Then the media was allied with Communists, now it's Leftists/Democrats and Communists in partnership with Islamists..

I'm not angry, believe me I understand frustration and all that goes with it. Our youngest is deployed over there.

Not good news. Must have been what all the fireworks were about last evening in Baghdad.

If he's a Christian, and can get to what is left of the Christian "quarter," he will have a good chance of survival.

If he's a Muslim, it's hard to say which way he should go.

I will pray for his safe return.

Hi All,

I heard this disheartening bit of news and I started thinking.

And before I start, let me stipulate firmly that I am a firm supporter of the War on Terror and believe in our mission as stated by the President.

That being said, and we're all friends here, right? But I am getting concerned about this insurgency and no I am not the Lamestream Media or Dan Rather. During this month 86 American soldiers were killed? EIGHTY SIX?

Yes I know war means casualties but these soldiers were not engaged in combat as I understand it. It appears that the ""insurgents" or whatever they are, are getting into places and pulling off killings that they really shouldn't be.

As I see the problem, we manage to get the Iraqi police trained and we've got Iran, Saudi Arabia and other nefarious regimes essentially bribing these guys. "Hey, Ahmad, how much you making as a police cadet?" I can hear the whisper. "I'll give you ten thousand American dollars right here if you leave a little bomb inside the police station (OR...insert any other place here)".

Money is the weapon of mass destruction. Given enough money, and the Arab countries have plenty of it via oil revenue, one can buy anything. Thus what it all boils down to is that it increasingly appears that the Iraqs themselves aren't willing to do the job.

Now I know we might have one hundred Iraqi police cadets all honest and trained and dedicated to civilized behavior in their country. But it only takes one bribee to do an amazing amount of damage.

I need a pep talk; reassurance. It's evident that Bush is concerned as he is calling in the Generals and getting an update.

Not to stereotype or anything, heh, but Arabs are notoriously corrupt, their culture is nothing like western culture and LIE...Lord they live to lie.

Help me out here. It breaks my heart to hear of our soldiers dying all because Iraqi civilians themselves can't get along or because so many accept bribes and deal in deceit and lies. Now this poor missing soldier...I'm telling you folks, the American people are simply not going to tolerate us being babysitters for a bunch of adults who act like terrorist children. That includes truly dedicated folks like our own fine selves.

The Germans did horrific things, but they did treat our POW's with a basic warrior's respect.

They didn't treat Soviet POW's that way. I'd say the Nazis treated the Americans and British much the way Islamists treat Westernized Muslims - as misguided folk who have fallen from the True Path, but still a part of the same culture. The untermensch, on the other hand, got the same treatment that Westerners, Christians, Hindus, and Jews are getting from Islamists.

And yes, there was a professional officer corps in the Wehrmacht which was undoubtedly horrified by the excesses of the SS. But just as Pakistani military officers today aren't prepared to go so far as to hand Al Qaeda members over to the CIA, so the Wehrmacht wasn't prepared to go so far as to topple Hitler just because he was running death camps.

From the release "A Multi-National Division – Baghdad Soldier" which in 99.9% of the time is not a US soldier as the title of thread claims, An Army Translator is more than likely an Iraqi.

I find it hard to believe that a soldier would be by himself and in a position to be abducted.

That's what John Roberts was reporting and he went on to say that while they found weapons the US and Iraqi military was very professional.

I'm certain your youngest is a wonderful hero. One you are proud of. I pray your child comes home safe and sound to their moms hugs.
What type of job is it yor youngest does? There are many from cook to mechanic to tank person to pilot to grunt. All are in my prayers. All give it their best and all have family.
Be brave and strong and never let your child feel your concerns, only your strength. They need it now like never before.

My guess is that the US military suspects that John Roberts may have spilled some beans to this Iraqi TV station that ultimately lead to the soldier missing. Roberts may have offered him up as a translator for service to what Roberts may have thought was a legitimate group. It's just too coincidental that Roberts just happens to be embedded with this same unit and the military raids a TV station in connection with the missing soldier. It fits right in to terrorist propaganda and getting a story to a station like CNN.
