Active Duty GIs Being Recruited To Lobby Congress Against War
The New York Sun ^ | 10/26/06 | ELI LAKE

WASHINGTON — Former military generals are criticizing anti-war groups for helping to organize active-duty soldiers to urge Congress to end the war in Iraq. In interviews yesterday, the generals were careful to say they have no objection to enlisted soldiers petitioning Congress as private citizens. It is a different matter, however, to coordinate this drive so close to the midterm elections and publicize it with the aid of anti-war organizations, they said. Yesterday, a company that does public relations for the liberal activist political action committee MoveOn.org, Fenton Communications, organized a conference call for reporters and three active-duty soldiers to unveil the soldiers' anti-war group Appeal for Redress.

And you know who'll go to the brig for it? The soldiers.

We have to put these bastards down...

Gonzales or whoever... do your damn job.

If they had started charging these clowns with sedition from the beginning... this crap wouldn't be happening.

Now I see why a past president shut down the press.

Hey, no pro-blem-o Jaysun.

The problem is since they're at your house, the SS has deployed a task force that just rolled up in front of my house. There are four guys in black suits, wearing sun glasses, and carrying Glocks!

I'm going to be caned by this guy:

This same crowd has been actively recruiting for years to get members of our intelligence and law enforcement community to betray the country and leak classified secrets to the NY Times. Why would this be a surprise? The only reason they don't literally do campaign commercials with Zawahiri is they know it would cost them more elections. Its not that they are morally opposed to what he wants - the destruction of America and its military - but they just prefer different tactics.

The bastard should be sent back to the third world sh!t hole he came from. I really twists my shorts when foreigners criticize America. If they don't like it here, then why are they here?

We have to put these bastards down...

A few well placed injunctions and random (legal) searches. In short, tie them up in court and break their banks.

That's how I feel about it. The post was very hard to understand. "Babelfish Gone Wild." It was apparent to me that he was trying to trash, Vice President Cheney, Sec. Rumsfeld and America in general. One of those dumbass posts where the bozo tries to make it appear that he "supports the troops."

"I don't so much blame/harbor ill feelings to the troops that signed on to this..."

Why?

Too late. The drove an H1 through the front door. They're taking me to the nearest airport (with my laptop) to put me on Marine 1.

It seems I have an audience with Rove, Rummy, and the Prez! W has an important task for me to perform.

Dear God. He wants you to sing "Coward of the County", at least that's what they wanted me to do. It's likely that you don't know the words, friend. In which case I can only pray for you. I promised that I'd never reveal the consequences, but let me assure you, they're dire - you aren't dreaming and the man wearing the coconut tits and coin changer is real. God speed.

Son of a bitch. There ARE black helos over my house. Perhaps they're a different color, it's dark out there. But hey, if they really are out to get me will you serve me by giving the world my last words? They're this: I love Christ. I love my wife. I love cheese.

Waste. No. Time. Get yourself lots of tinfoil, form it to fit your head, and don't take it off. Ever.

On another thread about this my hometown paper the Brattleeboro Reformer has ben running a series of stories since last Saturday on this ONE military guy who's anti-war, it just won't stop.

On Wenesday I believe these military anti- war prix went from 118 to 267 by Thursday. I think they are able to protest under the "Whistle Blower" act. It's sickening and they are being recruited!

The wording of the "appeal for redress" is simple and respectful: "As a patriotic American proud to serve the nation in uniform, I respectfully urge my political leaders in Congress to support the prompt withdrawal of all American military forces from Iraq. Staying in Iraq will not work and is not worth the price. It is time for U.S. troops to come home."

Today's tripe.

1 tenth of 1 percent active duty who have political left leanings and decided it was time for their 15 minutes of fame.... Shouldn't surprise anyone... They are also all probably getting out of the military shortly and are deciding on running as Democrat candidates... Ask them.

Give them Dishonorable Discharges to them all and di it publicly. Once they are out of uniform the will be free to protest all they want, but unlike sKerry they will be unable to hide the fact that they were given DDs in the event that some misguided Democrat president (like Carter) gives them amnesty or gives them after-the-fact honorable discharges. The stigma should follow them the rest of their lives.

The left so loves Vietnam. I have a friend who will occasionally talk about how wonderful it was. It is sickening. We also have had thugs try to shut down harbor(s), they often shut down recruiting centers (one near me- I emailed the police about an action, and they showed up with dogs...) I do wish the President would deal with these people.
