"President Bush might need to dig around in his junk drawer and find is veto pen as well."

Not only that, but maybe he should issue 1000s of pink slips to those who live in Arlington and Alexandria that work for the Fed Gov. I know it won't happen because property values would sink like the Titanic, and many members of Congress woould not like that.

Yes, but don't forget that spending and tax bills must originate in the House. So there's a real chance a dhimmo House could withhold funding for our troops in Iraq.

The only thing the Dems are going to try to get done is investigate and impeach the Prez. The source of their hatred is that they want payback for impeaching Bubba. Then it'll all be all about Hillary and the 900 FBI files that never got back in the drawer...

If I were the Repubs, during the lame Duck session I'd put Minimum wage on the table, of course at half of what the socialist want. Let them veto it, if not, we get the credit.

On CNN, Allen's lead is 30,000 votes. Looks like Arlington is only 50% in - when the other half comes in Webb will pick up 16,000 more votes. Charlottesville is 89%; it will giver Webb 600 more votes. It's 100% going to come down to the absentees/recounts.

Solid lead so far. Surely the Dems will ask for a recount and to dissmiss
the military vote. I DARE THEM!

Allen's still up by 12,500 with over 96% reporting - hope the lead holds.

We're getting our numbers from the official State Board of Elections website. I don't know where CNN's getting theirs, but the SBE has had most of Arlington in for quite a while (49 of 50 right now).
