Post results here! Thanks!
I have a bad feeling about this. The remaining outstanding votes are from areas that will go for Webb overall.
Allen may be done.
Is Boucher just good at hiding who he is, or is he actually somebody who's conservative enough to appeal to those coal miners down along the Kentucky border and still able to schmooze in college towns like Blacksburg and Radford? I wouldn't believe that the same person could get elected in two totally different universes like that. I know they love him in the NRV tech corridor because of his stands on digital rights.

Allen went awry by going negative and personal in his campaign. He should have locked himself in with the marriage amendment, highlighting the fact Webb was against it. He should have stuck to ideology, not personal attacks.

If you mean hiding who I ~think~ he is, absolutely.
Not that there's anything wrong with that...so to speak.

There were some serious smear ads run by the Allen campaign that did him no good. Allen's negatives were up due to his dumb comments, the WAPO shilling for Webb and Bush's negatives. He decided to tear down webb instead of selling VA on how good a job he did as governor and on values issues.

Remember, there will be an automatic recount if the difference is less than half of one percent.
Damn, falling apart in Georgia
I don't know, it seems to me the attack mode began with webb's people, first in the primary and then at Allen. The constant barrage of anti-Allen media sentiment has also been an added burden on him and the campaign.
Allen is up by 13,000 with about 96% reporting. Go George!

Agreed. I thought G.F. had it locked up until his aides performed the dump of Webb's porn lit. If Allen had taken the high road instead of allowing that personal attack, I believe he'd be leading now by ca. 100K instead of ca. 10K votes.
John Kerry is "ex-military" as well.
Our troops can discern the truth.
does not look good given what is outstanding.
I wonder about "long time bachelor" Bobby Scott. If so his constituents wouldn't go for it.

Georgia's gone, along with the house.
how fall up does Talent need to be going into st. louis?
Egggs-actly.
I completely disagree Hawthorn, and I've been in the thick of it.
This thing trended back to Allen ~because of~ that attack and because of Kerry's gaffe.
JMHO.
