GOP: McCain to make ’08 run decision in December
Associated Presstitutes & MSNBC ^ | 11/10/06

Sen. John McCain, considered the front-runner for the 2008 Republican presidential nomination, intends to launch an exploratory committee next week, GOP officials said Friday....

McCain, the GOP maverick who unsuccessfully sought his party’s nomination in 2000, already has opened a bank account for the committee, one official said.

The senator has made no decision about running for president,” said Eileen McMenamin, a McCain spokeswoman.

Aides to McCain say the senator will discuss whether to seek the presidency with his family over the Christmas holiday, and make a final decision thereafter...

Since losing to Bush in 2000, McCain has alternately challenged and embraced the president, building an independent reputation who isn’t afraid to speak his mind.

McCain has spent the past year padding his Straight Talk America political action committee with supporters in the early primary states of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina...and 15 months before the first primary contest in Iowa, McCain is considered the one to beat in a crowded field of potential GOP candidates. They include Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney, Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist of Tennessee, Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Sen. Sam Brownback of Kansas and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

An Associated Press-AOL News poll conducted late last month found Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Giuliani and McCain were essentially tied for support. Rice has insisted that she will not run.

This year, McCain had taken steps to improve his relationship with conservatives, addressing a graduation class at Liberty University at the invitation of the Rev. Jerry Falwell, a former adversary...

He has alienated conservatives, however, for opposing a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage and supporting federal expansion of embryonic stem-cell research...

"I'm living in new york state - I can assure you that isn't true. plenty of men already are voting for her."

Yeah, but a REAL man would never vote for Hillary!

Honestly, don't worry about it. Liberal men in New York are not all the men in America. And she is a walking target; she'd be even more fun than Jon Effin Cary was. She has enough skeletons and scandals and old affairs in the closet to effectively shoot her down. Maybe young women would vote for her in New York, but we'll never get the chance to find out because she won't get the nomination.

If Rudy doesn't run, we are in serious trouble in 2008. The
Hildebeast would devour any of the others.
And don't give me Mitt Romney, he is another Arlen Spincter.
John McLame is the Manchurian Candidate that isn't fooling
anybody.

I hope the party wises up by the end of the year. This POS and other RINOs like him need to be completely purged form the party in the next two years if we're going to have a chance in 2008.

The hard left doesn't like him either click here which might mean he's got a chance with the majority of the country.

The majority of the Republican party does not like him, not just the hard right.

He has to win primaries against Real Republicans.

McCain needs to stop being the Democrats' favorite Republican. They are not going to put him in office.

I think it's too late. There's nothing he can do now that would win me back.

Ummm...yeah, the Gang of 14 had NOTHING to do with corruption or anything else. Cut it out.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

They corrupted the Conswervative Agender.

Now McCain displays electile dysfunction?

Needless to pray, McPain is a boner, a loner, and a goner.

As the wanna be Yoda of the Republican Party, McPain is of course a ludicrous Arizona icon, looking for a swamp in which to retire. And the Republican Party will find it for him in a town near the Mexican border.

John's father and grandfather were full admirals. John probably made his decision to run when he realized 5 1/2 years in a POW cage would prevent him from becoming Chief of Naval Operations. The McCains shoot high and usually reach their goal.

I would actually prefer Hillary over McCain. That doesn't mean I would vote for her, it just says how low McCain rates.

I would be concerned about his health. He had cancer on the side of his face. I don't recall the type, but it is aggressive in destroying tissue. When it is on the face or neck, it easily spreads to the brain. I guess his was caught in time. He needs to take it easy. I have respect for his military days, but I just don't trust him.

Here in newly-blue New Hampshire, I work with many middle-aged, suburban, screeching liberal guys who loath Hillary, but are ga-ga over McCain. They've already decided that they're voting for him in '08 if he runs.

Well, if we represent the right of the base. I doubt McCain nets any greater than 30% in his favor.

According to a posted article entitled "McCain Starts Planning for 2008 Run" Senator John McCain is considered the front-runner for the 2008 Republican presidential nomination. Would you be for or against McCain?

against
96.2%

for
3.8%

Someone tell Johnny McVain that the days of liberal RINOs are over in the Republican party. If he wants to run so bad, he needs to switch over to the Dhimmicrat side. Maybe then he'll have a chance at being Shrillary's running mate.
