I have a problem with ballots in several languages. To become a citizen AND VOTE, you must have a reasonable command of the English Language. How many ILLEGAL Spanish votes were cast this election?

For sure. I also think it's important for the adm. to counter the dems lies immediately as soon as they are made public. When the dems go unchallenged it's like letting terrorists keep on bombing without shooting at them.

I'm silent because I am hoarse from all the talking, pleading, arguing, and downright harrangue-ing I did prior to the election.

Now others can shout about their losses.

It remains to be seen, but the MSM will be supporting them every step of the way

They will and the media will cover for them .. count on it

Some on our side need to recognize this

Like I said .. this is more of a PR election

Ignorance won on Tuesday... and ignorance of history.

Dean's been a Fox darling lately. However, the klintonoids have gotten him a job in Enland to help the Labor Party defeat the torries. Good riddance!

"Says we need more patriotism."

That statement alone is a slap in the face to dems and he is saying that the dems better not turn on Israel.

And lastly get off your President's back and support like your fellow Republicans should have in congress and then the result last Tuesday would have probably been different. They caused the public to see the Republican party as fragmented and therefore did not give them confidence to vote for a Republican candidate coupled with the media portraying Republicans as radical right wingers.

Loyalty is a two-way street. Bush supported comprehensie immigration reform, i.e., amnesty, legalization of status, and a pathway to citizenship, despite the fact that the overwhelming number of Reps in Congress were against it. Now, he will sign a bill from a Dem controlled Congress passing it, including a guest worker program.

If there is a loophole that keeps Bolton at the UN, then I'm all for it! Praise Bolton! He's more of a man than McCain could ever hope to be.

"they would have voted for hitler or mark foley...."

your fine-feathered friend discounts the millions of dead humans throughout the world who were the victims of his socialist philosophy. he sounds like a smug self-described brilliant intellectual who looks down on us chickens.
...."straight line without thinking indeed".......he seems to have fallen for the liberal line blindly and without thinking....in other words, IMHO, he is a hard-core, incorrigible communist who insists on esperimenting once again.
(do you think they'll have enough room for the bodies this time?)

...with that Michael Fox thing...

So how do people who value life and understand the balance of scientific research showing Adult Stem Cells are more promising address a glamorous, high-school drop out, victim of a disease stating the falsity that there was a federal ban on "stem cells"?

Tony Snow does a good job countering the media BS, but I don't hold out any hope that President Bush will do the same. He just does not get into it and allows it to continue. I think all of us here on FR would agree the White House PR and communication skills have been horrible from day one.

"The majority party with a minority mindset."

You are so right. I'm so ticked at all the quarterbacks blaming the "stay-at-home Republicans", the "fundamentalists", the "religious right", the "single-issue Republicans", the "offended base", blah, blah, ad nauseum.

Anything to shift the blame from the Republican administration, the RNC and the hollow "leaders" of the GOP onto the weary, demoralized backs of November 7th's Republican voters, subdivided or in general.

The pre-election arrogance and tone-deafness of the Pub "leaders" continues unabated post-election. Read any election analysis article written by a GOP leader, listen to any TV election analysis spoken by a GOP leader.......you can detect who overtly or covertly gets the blame for the defeat. It's you and me, brother, plus convenient gone-guys like Foley and the very Rev. Haggard.

How many times do you see Frist, Hastert, Mehlman, Rove, Warner, McCain, etal get any serious blame for anything? These guys never blame themselves or each other after apocalyptic political catastrophes.

We here on FR have nothing to be embarrassed or ashamed about. We did our part. Would that our "leaders" had done the same. They ignored us, they looked down on us, yet they took our money and hard work.......and did what they pleased (mostly nothing, including years of failed PR).

Now it looks like many Republican incumbents who survived Armageddon plan to continue on their own merry, detached-from-party-principles way.

They're already playing footsie with the Dems on immigration, minimum wage, cut-and-run.........while we get the blame for their weakened position and loss of power.

The MSM uses the Klinton Dictionary, released about the time of Monica-gate! You know the one with the various meanings of is and alone.

Re no oversight on Hillary & Co - that bugged me, but, at the time, I was so happy and relieved that Bush won, I figured he wanted to be a gentleman and get on w governing and put the earlier few months of bikering behind him that I let it go. I have no doubt that if the situation had been reversed, the Dims wouldn't have acted the same way.

I like your questions and will note them for future use, and, totally agree w you - we need to hold them accountable and responsible for their promises.

I totally agree. We are experiencing a backlash now against the slow, pervasive, but hitherto almost unnoticed entrance of Mexican influence into our culture. One of the most irritating things to many of us is so much stuff being in Spanish now.

When I call a private company and I get a 'for English press one' message, I'm, like, okay -- you're a private company, you have a lot of Mexican customers you have to deal with.

But when I call a government agency and get the same thing, it ticks me off. Petty? maybe. But a lot of people are feeling that way and there will be a backlash against it.

Like last year's backlash against substituting Holiday Season for Christmas.
