The ratstream media never stopped trying to oust top members of our party and unfortunately we became a punching bag instead of counter punching their lights out.

Thanks for the thread AB. Your idea is good, but I'm afraid this election taught us that in politics, the truth does not matter without a way to broadcast it and counter the spin.

I don't know how that can be accomplished. Talk radio didn't do it this time.

Anyway, I'll certainly help.

Good day to all.

tourons

LOL.  I had to look that one up:

The National Park Service has a semi-private word for the above stories, they all involve, "tourons."  Tourons is a combination of the word, "tourist," and the word, "moron."  All though it is not clear where the word was coined, legend has it the expression started at Yellowstone National Park.

The web site where I found that has some great stories and one great picture (and one horrifying one).

Bottom line phsstpok:

When they state a fact that is flat out wrong we need to call them on it. Every damn time.

Someone needs to get the word out to Hannity, he is having the same old worn out guests over and over. With his numbers he could help the cause a lot by putting on well versed conservatives.

I saw some bona-fide, French 'tourons' down in the Everglades. They were pointing out a North American Cardinal to their 5 year old saying “Look... a parrot!”

I would, too. All I can think of is that she was considered a bit of a centrist, especially on nat'l sec and has supported Bush on that; and Pelosi dislikes her (my guess is that Boxer and Hill do, too). Though, I believe her change started after she won the primary (IIRC it was a harder fight than expected).

A couple of possibilities for Pelosi and others disliking her:

Her name was supposedly on the list as a possible for Nat'l Intelligence Director:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1296926/posts

She was mentioned as a possible candidate for Sen when DiFi retires:
Harman positioned to run statewide (DiFi's successor?)

Rep. Jane Harman (D-Calif.) insists she has no plans to run statewide anytime soon, but it’s conventional wisdom in Washington and California that her centrist voting record and leadership spot on the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence make her a prime candidate to succeed Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.).

re: Rummy Germany

You mean our socialists led by head rat "Ratner" and muslim lawyers went to Germany to bring charges because of legal rules there. Ah... Germany... oil for food, raising and sheltering terrorists, the irony. They're even claiming Rummy's german relatives have disowned him... these pigs are low as hell.

Have a link:
http://www.macsmind.com/wordpress/2006/11/10/ones-to-talk/

Along with Rumsfeld, Gonzales and Tenet, the other defendants in the case are Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence Stephen Cambone; former assistant attorney general Jay Bybee; former deputy assisant attorney general John Yoo; General Counsel for the Department of Defense William James Haynes II; and David S. Addington, Vice President Dick Cheney’s chief of staff. Senior military officers named in the filing are General Ricardo Sanchez, the former top Army official in Iraq; Gen. Geoffrey Miller, the former commander of Guantanamo; senior Iraq commander, Major General Walter Wojdakowski; and Col. Thomas Pappas, the one-time head of military intelligence at Abu Ghraib.

Ummm... Col. Pappas. With the Abu G queen herself Karpinski testifying, who once said it went all the way to Rummy, yet she knew of nothing going on there. Nevermind, nothing to see here.

As Michelle said:

The German government isn’t filing the lawsuit. It’s 11 Iraqis and a Saudi who went court-shopping and filed in Germany because the country “provides ‘universal jurisdiction’ allowing for the prosecution of war crimes and related offenses that take place anywhere in the world.” A previous lawsuit was filed on similar grounds and was dismissed. Yes, Germany has its share of weasels. But German Chancellor Angela Merkel isn’t one of them and outrage at the country is premature.

It's CCR again, it's not the first time they've tried it.

Here, get to know them:

Thank goodness we're not part of the ICC. Like the great John Murtha (brown bag), I say we deploy our German military bases to Poland... permanently.

From a commenter re: The Looming Tower

The new Germany had carefully enshrined tolerance in its consitution, including the most openhanded political asylum policy in the world. Acknowledged terrorist groups were allowed to operate legally, raising money and recruits-but only if they were foreign terrorists, not domestic. It was not even against the law to plan a terrorist operation so long as the attack took place outside the country.

The unspoken compact that the Germans made with the radical foreign elements inside their country was that if Germans themselves were not attacked, they would be left alone. In recoiling from its extremist past, Germany inadvertently became the host of a new totalitarian movement.

(Hmmm)

Great post here, I have always liked and respected Rummy and always will, anyone who thinks that he did not carry out the will of our President is undoubtedly mistaken.

Great post...and great idea, Alas!!!

I sure do wish I lived in the northeast ....because I would seriously think about setting up a regular protest spot, right outside of the buildings that house the MSM!!

Especially on Sunday Morning..it would be nice to have their lies disputed as the shows are being shown in later time zones.

We know ONE THING that the dems do a LOT better than the GOP...they complain a lot!! That old saying "the squeaky wheel gets the grease", really plays out with the dems.

We need to be that "squeaky wheel" for 2 years, consistently, constantly...just keep SQUEAKING...someone has to start paying attention.

And now, after all the exclusive interviews with Cheney, Rumsfeld and others, now he feels 'liberated' to start kicking them while they're down? The hell with him.

Amen to this and the rest of your post.
