The District of Columbia also provides for recalls. Virginia is not listed as a recall state because its process, while requiring citizen petitions, allows a recall trial rather than an election. In at least 29 states (some sources place this number at 36), recall elections may be held in local jurisdictions.

"Hate Crime" laws are discriminatory. It's not too bad if you kill someone, as long as that person is not gay or black or whatever.
We are all supposed to be equally protected by the laws. Not have some get special treatment or consideration.
WTF is it with libs and victims? The more victims, the more lib voters, maybe? Straight white males will soon be the only non-victim group, if they aren't already.

Education Ping.
This is how the Dems gained the majority. They put up many candidates who claimed they were Conservative, 2nd amendment; etc. They also ran good looking candidates in hopes people would vote for their candidate because of their looks (they did).
Some Conservative websites say these new congressmen would work with Republicans, I say they'll work with Pelosi or just be too intimidated by her to do much of anything.
One Conservative blog called these faux Conservatives, crash dummies. I however use the analogy of the movie making skills of the old Commie producers in Hollywood. The old Commie producers in Hollywood wouldn't make an overtly Communist film. Instead, they would make a straight film and sneak some Collectivist values into it; e.g., 'The Best Years of our Lives.' These faux Conservative Democrats are there just to sneak in Pelosi, Conyers, and Murtha type values on the dupes who voted for them.
So, does this mean he's a card carrying lying communist/socialist/Saul Alinsky disciple like Hillary Clinton?
Actually, if many Dems act in a similar fashion, it bodes well for a Republican win in 2008. Voters thought they were voting for Moderate Dems to represent them. If the Moderate Dems (like Moderate Mohammedans) don't really exist . . . then the Democrat Party implodes??

Such an "announcement" by a politician may just amount to lip service. Not a very Catholic thing to do either.
But the announcement itself certainly doesn't mean such a bill will ever be floated or will ever pass -- especially with a bunch of normal supporters who are going to feel very betrayed by such news and will surely work to defeat any such effort.
