Yeah, you're probably right.

I had a class A-1 Rino in my district. I WANTED to push the Republican button, but I said to myself "WHAT ARE YOU DOING??" The guy doesn't support Bush, doesn't support the war in Iraq, etc. So I voted third party for a conservative. The RINO lost.

I have no regrets.

And they were replaced with even bigger libs you dunderhead.

Better to face my enemy openly, than to have him inside my city gates.

I proudly voted straight R... and I'm thrilled that Jon Kyl was re-elected.

"A side note: Today they want to dump Howard Dean, but Doctor Dean has upped the interest in voting at the University level and we need to figure out how to tap into that."

YEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!

THAT'S good news - he and Pelosi are about as helpful to the Dems as John F. Kerry was a few weeks ago.

Kyl was/is strong on enforcement. He also supports comprehensive reform. He co-authored an immigration reform bill with Cornyn of Texas.

If I was in John Kyle's district, I'd have voted for him too. I think he's Presdiental material.

Aside from the one RINO, I voted straight Republican myself.

Unfortunately, Pelosi isn't going anywhere and Hillary wants Howie out of the way so she can install her own people in position to get her elected in '08. However, there is one thing the RNC could learn from Doctor Dean and that was how to use the Internet to tap into these college voters.

Kyl won't run for President. He's a wonderful Senator and the only Senator I've ever had that instructs his staff to contact people who contact him with issues, but his staff has told me he's not interested in the WH.

I have two college degrees and got them some time ago.

Its VERY hard to tap into the college voter. The average college kid is a naive jerk who follows what his professor dishes out and most of these professors are Bolsheviks.

Aside from one monarchist, the other students in my undergraduate class were all libs - so was the professor.

I had more in common with the Monarchist.

That's unfortunate. I heard both Kyl and Haworth on TV with Sean Hannity visting the Minutemen and I liked them both.

I doubt Nancy Pelosi was as gleeful when she found out this Republican lost as you were. Troll.

Immigration is NOT the ACE-IN-THE-HOLE that "most" people here believe it is. (It needs to get done, but politically its NOT the be all end all)

J. D. lost because of all of the baggage the incompetent Republican leadership hung around his neck. It had nothing to do with illegal immigration issue since the propositions dealing with those issues won handily. Hopefully, the new Republican leadership will show some real leadership that supports the values of the Republican party!

Dane, you have your moments, you really do, but then you return to form and post endlessly on this one topic and it doesn't matter one whit to you that you are wrong, or how many posters dissect your statements.

Like the Media, you are agenda driven, and the camouflage is as thin as a Baltimore pimp's patent leather shoes.

give it a break, girl.

Well, they voted in great numbers here this election and from everything I've seen were very active... at least in Tempe and Tucson. Flagstaff (NAU) is it's own world.

A lot of us would have liked to see JD run for Governor. IMO he could have beat Napolitano. Munsil was just too closely-linked to McCain for many people's taste and Napolitano is Right of McCain and Munsil on illegal immigration (on paper of course)...

Dane, sitting on the East Coast, is determined to make out the AZ election loss for JD related to immigration. It wasn't. It was his district being so heavily ASU and the students really went all out this election to defeat JD.<

Then answer me this Carolyn, why did Hayworth with 60% of the vote in the last midterm in 2002. He had the same district, and the vote totals are appx. the same.

Sorry Carolyn there was no "surge" by ASU students. The surge was against J.D. Hayworth by reliable tax paying voters.

Napo was a big supporter of McCain-Kennedy and now is a big supporter of Hagel-Martinez.
