A Hispanic and a woman? Sorry but that doesn't go together.
She can win if the Republicans don't get their head out of their butt!
Good point about Kerry.
I think she can win too. The only hope I have is that she can't really stand the heat. She still has never had to face tough questions anywhere.
But, I am trying to brace myself in case the wrost happens.
She won't win because I believe the entire country has Bush/Clinton fatigue - those two families have dominated US politics for the past 20 years. It's time for new leadership.
"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."

'Loathesome Kerry' issued a statement to the effect that he has no timetable for his presidential announcement plans. He's waiting for Obama to implode and Hill's negatives to sink her once and for all. Will never forget C-Span one night last January. Kerry groveling to NH dem party faithful. Short speech, not many in the audience. Lackluster applause, if any. The second he shut up, the room emptied as if someone had yelled FIRE! He roamed around trying to shake hands, but was able to trap very few who were desperately running for the door. All caught on camera. C-Span replayed it at two AM, and I got up to watch it again. Hilarious.
Perusing over at the DUmmies, there are a LOT of people who don't like her. Her detractors consider her in the pockets of corporate America, a big sin if you want to hold the Rat banner. The question is, if she gets the nomination, will more of her party's voters swallow hard and vote for her anyway, than will have to do the same over on our side? We don't have anybody yet who most people can accept, let alone get excited by.
Obama does have star power, even if it is only the sort of meaningless media adulation that they shower on naughty celebrities. I'm hoping that he becomes the anti-Hillary, the rest fade away quickly, and she defeats him only after getting very nasty and dirty. With the eventual Republican nominee most likely being someone that the majority of the conservatives are not going to like, we need far more pissed off Rat voters willing to go third party in November, 2008, than will stay home and not vote for a McCain or Giuliani.
absolutely
the last 2 elections were in small % differences
there will be enough of novelty act votes that will push the thing over
and whomever dangles free stuff wins
free healtcare
free mommy care
free oil
free everything
She can win if conservatives get focused on some candidate that can't win, and then stay home on election day when he or she isn't chosen as the Republican nominee. I confess I helped put the Clintons into power in 1992 by voting for Perot as a protest candidate, and will not make that mistake ever again.
Please, Lord, NO!
She is going to win.
Due to the fact that no one in the republican party has bigger balls than she does. No one...
Yes she can and likely will win.
Because the GOP does not have a candidate that can beat her. The RINO's won't get the conservative vote and the conservatives don't have anyone with star power (or for that matter name recognition).
The good news is that with a Clinton presidency and a liberal Congress this country will go down the tubes over her first term. That gives an opoortunity for a true conservative to position himself as someone ready to make the tough choices neccessary to restore the Republic.
"heavyweight contender" I wouldn't call her fat.
The same was said of Clinton 42.
Limited govenrnment was wounded in 1913/Wilson's Presidency and FDR's reign was the killing blow.
LBJ/Nixon poked sticks in it to make sure it was dead.
We need to start over which is impossible right now.
YOU ALL IGNORE SIMPLE MATH
First, we know the balance between the two parties is fairly even.
The sad truth is that a Hillary/Obama or Hillary/Richardson ticket will bring out millions of previous non-voters based only on their gender/race. That is enough to tip the balance. Period.
Hillary's VP selection will be based on the Republican candidate. If someone like Tancredo is the nominee, Hillary will pick Richardson. Anyone soft on immigration and Hillary will pick Obama.
