A couple of years ago, Barbara Bush predicted that Hillary would win the Democrat nomination for President, but wouldn't win the election. I hope she is right, especially about NOT winning the Presidential seat.
Hillary is Repulsive.
Saw that on a bumper sticker the other day.
It about sums things up, dont it?
I give her a 60-40 chance to win. There will be an all out media assault for her. "Campaign Finance" will prevent almost any organized criticism of her - except from the "official" organs of the hapless, flaccid GOP - for 60 days prior to November. In other words, from the nominating conventions onward it will be a Coronation. By that time the MSM will have done a "Foley" on the GOP nominee.
She'll win in a walk.
Oh yeah. Arranging to run against Poppy and Bob Dole were masterstrokes.
i always say it depends on the republican nominee. i know many republicans who would not vote for a candidate like guiliani. he is a social liberal.
If the republicans do not nominate a social conservative - IT'S OVER.
Can Mrs. Clinton win?
Yes.
I no longer underestimate the collusion between the Democrats and the MSM, or its power over the American citizen.
I pray we unify and beat this threat to America back to the stone age.
That has been my contention. This is not just some grandiose fantasy like Biden or Kucinich or Hagel or Huckabee. Hillary is not one to set herself up for public humiliation or repudiation. She did that to get BillyBoy elected and she won't be doing it again. If she tests the waters and stays in, we got trouble in River City. Beware the security Mom and her sweet reason.
Can Hillary Clinton win in 2008?
I hope not! She's done nothing for New York. Why would anyone expect more from her if she ran the country? How would she be as Commander-In-Chief when she flip flops all the time and makes choices based on polls?
But they will slavishly line up and vote for her anyway. In the meantime, Hillary is designing her campaign specifically to mellow out the negatives. By summer of 2008, after a year of the media calling her a "moderate," "centrist" even "conservative" the average schlub will be saying "Hey she's fine. Don't know why those republicans hate her so much. They just don't want a woman for president.".
This can not be denied. She is confident that the race is hers to loose.
Heh. Earthy way of putting it, but succinct and to the point.
I hate to say this but she could very well win!
The Democrats will vote out of loyalty regardless who is heading the ticket! Kerry almost made it thru. It didn't take much for Bill to get even in the minority side. Then there is Jimmah Carter!
Loyalty is the factor!
How loyal are the Republicans? How about the conservatives?
We may have trouble here!
The media line is already clear, ie, that she has been so attentive to taking care of her constituents that she even won the Bush counties upstate. Of course the upstate counties are full of bumpkins with stars in their eyes, but the message will be clear: Mother Hillary will take care of us, just like The Ponytail Guy wanted, years ago.
You know, I think, you know, that Hillary, you know, stands a good chance, you know, of winning. And you know what I'm talkin' about!
I'll secind that and third that and .......
No, No, No, No, No, No,..................................................................
Yes, I am frowned upon for it from time to time. I gave up tact years ago because it does no good on some/most issues. You're either preaching to the choir, or you're giving the opposition holes they can drive a big truck through.
Call a spade a spade... Saves bandwidth to boot!
Answer: Our society may have become sick enough.
