Ramos, the wife of Border Patrol agent Ignacio Ramos, attended the event[State of the Union address] as a guest of Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif. "What I sat in the gallery and heard tonight," she said, "was a total sell-out of the United States of America to Mexico. I heard President Bush's message loud and clear. All the president has to offer is electronic gadgets. Meanwhile, our borders are wide open to illegal aliens, criminals and drug smugglers. God help the honest men and women of the Border Patrol who want to do their duty. It's a losing battle..."

Whatever, obviously his ass survived. At least enough to whine to the US and Mexico. If the US does not want Border agents to have guns, then do not give them to them. Just let drug runners and thugs cone across at their will. Offering immunity says drugs are okay, stopping them is not.

FR always has an idiot show up. Evidently you have a copy of the trial,or were a witness to the whole thing? Go tell some in DU, your ignorant of the facts. It's obvious that you haven't done a whole lot of research to what the facts are...

Here are some of the facts about the Stonewalling ...

Or that 70 Congressman are calling for a pardon?

Interesting that Investor's Business Daily is curious about a dirty prosecutor...as in NiFonged.

The POTUS does not put people in Jail. Learn our constitution its done by DAs and DOJ get the story straight please

Hey smart guy, this is already on Bush's desk. It takes a pardon from a president, and some congressional investigation to get a grip on how wrong headed this case is.

It's unforgiveable. What deal did he [President Bush] make with Mexico? What price did he sell us all out for?

The conspiracy theorists on FR will try and tell you this is no big deal. But before you believe them...

IMHO, second only to the global war on Islamofascism, the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP) represents the greatest threat to our country.

Follow this link, download the .pdf file and begin reading on page 23 which is page one of the report.

President Bush is bound and determined to let the illegals overrun our country. Don't take my word for it. Go read the report.

You may also be interested in this article by Phyllis Schlafly titled, CFR's Plan to Integrate the U.S., Mexico and Canada. Excerpt:

The CFR document [see link above] lays "the groundwork for the freer flow of people within North America." The "common security perimeter" will require us to "harmonize visa and asylum regulations" with Mexico and Canada, "harmonize entry screening," and "fully share data about the exit and entry of foreign nationals."

This CFR document, called "Building a North American Community," asserts that George W. Bush, Mexican President Vicente Fox, and Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin "committed their governments" to this goal when they met at Bush's ranch and at Waco, Texas on March 23, 2005. The three adopted the "Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America" and assigned "working groups" to fill in the details.

Illegal aliens are pervasive. They are everywhere. They kill, per day, more Americans than we loose in Iraq. If they're deported they come right back. They commit multiple crimes. They taunt us with their illegality. They drain our taxpayer funded entitlement programs. They mock our Rule of Law. They have little respect for our culture. Our national sovereignty is a joke to them.

Rule of Law: trashed
US Sovereignty: trashed
Democratic process: trashed

Wait one second there my friend...would it have been better for you if the guy died? You might not care, but we do have laws here. So you're saying that law enforcement has the right to shoot at ANYONE they think is of a dangerous nature, anytime they want? You can't possibly be saying that unless you want to live in the wild west.

Some more documentation that people need to see.

Twelve Americans are murdered every day by illegal aliens, according to statistics released by Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa. If those numbers are correct, it translates to 4,380 Americans murdered annually by illegal aliens. That's 21,900 since Sept. 11, 2001.

* * *

While King reports 12 Americans are murdered daily by illegal aliens, he says 13 are killed by drunk illegal alien drivers – for another annual death toll of 4,745. That's 23,725 since Sept. 11, 2001.

While no one – in or out of government – tracks all U.S. accidents caused by illegal aliens, the statistical and anecdotal evidence suggests many of last year's 42,636 road deaths involved illegal aliens.

* * *

But the carnage wrought by illegal alien murderers represents only a fraction of the pool of blood spilled by American citizens as a result of an open border and un-enforced immigration laws.

Listen, if it were in the 1880's and the border guards were Texas Rangers, I don't think there would be this problem. The drug runner would no longer exist.

Furthermore, what the border guards did was right. Do you think if the situation were reversed and you were on the Mexican side of the border doing what the drug runner was doing that you would still be alive. I don't think so.

This guy was a known drug runner.

He had a record

So the dope was found in his car later. He was still coming across the border illegally and violating US law.

Yep. I don't like him already

Your argument is weak, because you are defending a criminal who is coming into our country illegally.

I have not said one word in that man's defense. He did nothing right.

Would you be happy if his bag of dope ended up in the veins or lungs of you child? What is always forgotten here, is that this drug runner was illegal and seeking to profit off of illegal activity within the US.

Nobody has forgotten that. What people seem to have forgotten is these guys broke the law then tried to cover it up. People go to jail for that every day.

He should have been prosecuted, imprisoned and then deported.

I agree but instead he was shot in the butt illegally and the agents tried to cover it up and as a result he is now free.

Grow up!

I'm not the one advocating murder.

Oh stow it, don't act so offended. While we are talking laws, how about enforcement of US law? I am all for enforcing laws on citizens who are legal within the US. I just do not think stepping it up to enforce the law on lawbreakers who are willing violating the US law, deserve better than US citizens who are given the job of enforcing border law and keeping out the flow of drugs. He was lucky to get out with a pimple on his ass. The damage done by his coming in here was far greater to American citizens and taxpayers. Boo Hoo, if this was sincere, he would have felt glad he got out of here with a hole in his butt and kept his drug dealing mouth shut. An obvious set up for dupes who believe him.

You're talking apples and oranges, and you have to know it. Two different arguments. I don't want to live in a country where policemen can shoot at you whenever they feel you may be doing something wrong. I'm sorry to hear you do.

I don't think a bullet in the ass is murder. I will agree that they should not have covered it up. For that, they deserve punishment. Just not what was given them by offering immunity to a known drug runner and violator of US law. Not a just example to present to American Citizens.

Now you're making sense to me. ;-)

I agree the sentence was harsh and I did not like the immunity deal. I do hope they get a pardon but I also understand why they went to jail.

They were wrong to cover it up. They deserve to lose their jobs... but 11 years is steep when no one died and they were pursuing a known criminal who was trafficking drugs into the United States.
