"It's better to know nothing than to know what ain't so." (Josh Billings)

Excuse my ignorance, but I wonder if Josh said this before or after Reagan's quote that was something like "Its not that Liberals don't know much, its just that what they know ain't so."

GW doesn't pass muster on so many levels in physics, and meteorology, that it's no surprise that most of the scientists listed in support of the fraud now state that they don't agree, and didn't give permission for their names to be used.

That was brought up in the video and is a very important point. I suppose the GW crowd had to credit cherry picked data to avoid being plagiarists but it was cheeky not to disclose the dissension of those whose data was hijacked.

That's true, E-S. It was interesting to hear the researcher in the documentary say that he requested several times that his name be removed from the errant report published by the lying global warming crew.

circa 1858.

President Reagan always knew a good line and used them well. He didn't steal it, he propagated it....something old Josh would have approved.

The "carbon trade" is a building money machine, true enough, but I think it's really just a distraction from the foundational goals of those who make up the hard core of the envirowhack/global warming cabal. For the true believer, nothing is a greater threat than the Third World having its own Industrial Revolution, and moving toward First World status. In the light of that, the attitudes of the hard core run along the lines of "carbon schmarbon; we gotta keep the Third World third." So, I believe we're going to see an earnest attempt to spin the "carbon trade" into a large enough fiscal machine that it becomes an foreground mask that will give cover for efforts aimed at Third World repression.

It's all about shutting down the U.S. economy.

If I thought I could evaluate the issues, I’d post a note of support for the film to that forum. But at best I’d be tied up for hours if not days with them (assuming it’s as open as it looks). I actually learn a lot by that method, but don’t have the luxury to try it now.

The bias of the blog is clear, but that doesn’t mean all their criticism of the film is false. From my brief review, it looks like there’re significant validity problems with the graphs used, cherry picking some questionable and outdated ones. But their reply to CO2 trailing the sun-spots by 800 years was not as convincing. There’s a theory having to do with feedback from previous sun spot cycles that they rely on, but it came off as contorted and unclear in their page summarizing it, a sign that it’s overreaching BS,… scientifically speaking.

Thanks! Learn something new every day. Off topic - but found on the internet:

While the Squeaky Wheel analysis was used in different forms before Billings, his poem, The Kicker" brought the idiom into common usage of American Language. The poem is:

"I hate to be a kicker, I always long for peace, But the wheel that does the squeaking, Is the one that gets the grease"

The term "kicker" at the time in the 1800's was another term for a complainer.

I’m as critical of the global warming as anyone, but wary of fighting propaganda with propaganda.Well.... straight FACTS hasn't made much of a dent!

But if we bend the facts a little in our propaganda, it leads people who were already convinced by the facts to question them.

Take me for instance; I thought it was a convincing video, despite badly needing to be been cut in half. But after spending 15 minutes on that leftist blog, I’m probably going to go back and try to deconstruct their criticism of the film when time allows. I’d have never spent more than 10 seconds on a global warming bog until this film. I doubt I’m that unique.

?

Then why have the SAME tactics worked when done by the other side?

“? Then why have the SAME tactics worked when done by the other side?”

Their tactics worked? Despite tentative alliances with academia, Hollywood, most of the media, music, arts, the majority of the non-voting Americans and most of the world, they’re still struggling for power and credibility. If we had that we'd have overrun them by now.

They know their house of cards could crumble any time because people see through them, especially those moving the US and world economy. Strategically, I wouldn’t trade places with them, and I certainly don’t want to adopt the worst of their methods.
It's all about shutting down the U.S. economy.
It is about more than that, It is about preventing certain areas of the world from developing to begin with (Africa)and bringing the Western World down to that pre-industrial level.

Its nothing more that Marxist Racism to some extent.
