Thanks for your post. I posted the following this morning and think it addresses the problems you mentioned.

“If Imus goes down like I think he could go down, he could easily become the poster boy - without rebuttal - for political correctness for years to come. This is a very big fight and Imus is almost irrelevant in that fight now.”-— leadpenny

As usual, Lead, you have got right to the heart of the matter.

Who loses is blacks, since the white power elites will turn over their responsibility to be just to the race-hustlers who will “speak truth to white power” for a fee, of course.

The biggest losers are all decent Americans of whatever colour, as the problems of the underclass (which is not exclusively black) can be ignored or bought off.

Shelby Steele, who wrote “White Guilt”, addressed this on Laura Ingraham’s show this morning, but Steele, Sowell, Peterson, et al., are persona non grata in any debate on race, since they don’t exploit white guilt, knowing how little that affects change.

The Clinton gang must be high-fiving each other as if they had won a national basketball championship. Their “win” is a big loss to blacks and to all of us.

Shelby Steele said that for Imus to crawl to someone like Al Sharpton is to legitimize Sharpton as the high priest of racial justice who dispenses “absolution” to erring whites.

He also believes that money will change hands — Jesse and the Rev will be rewarded by white corporate America for “absolving” white guilt, and blacks will be impoverished on a deeper level.

“No. It means the Black extortionists won again.”

Can it mean...Decent minded people won again...and some black extortionists were involved also.

remember when we catch a terrorist we don’t give all the credit to the street informers.

"He doesn't scare me. What scares me is he belongs in a safe district."

Ha, they all have safe Districts, and I suppose, in the end, that is the scariest fact of all.

I never vote for Democrats, and I never vote for incumbents. This current President was an exception to that rule for me.

I would not do it again.

With Dan Abrams CEO, I am NOT surprised.

I forgot he ran things at MSNBC.

An extra laugh: He's the son of Floyd Abrams famous First Amendment lawyer-boy!

No, wait....

I'm having a smokeless moment...

There's a #33 Bandit reference in here somewhere, and it isn't even October.

No, because if it were not for the extortionists this entire thing would merely be a sad moment. He crossed the line, but as Jackie Mason put it, it wasn’t a henious crime like murder or rape. If we are to hold everyone to the same standards, then why is Jessie Jackson still heading the Rainbow Coalition after his “hymietown” comment?

Imus ran to the Sharpton radio program to get the exact results he received. Sharpton became a lightening rod deflecting criticism from Imus. Conservative forums and talk radio will foam at the mouth at the mere mention of Sharpton’s name. Guys...Sharpton could not win a majority of liberal black votes in the last Dumbo primary. But, the DBM and my beloved talk radio continue, to my dismay, to put him front and center.

Everyone, including conservative radio, neglected the fact that these are young college girls who play a game and are not in the political arena.

Abrams primary concern yesterday was the way in which the FOX News Channel covered the Imus story.

He comes across as a 12 year old kid wearing a big boy suit.

It would seem however that he's yet to advance to big boy underpants.

Yeah...there were some freepers that implicated Hillary right from the start...

Could be...and Obama acted as a hit man also...Hillary probably just sent hit persons so she wouldn’t get dirty.

What does Hillary have to gain from it? Imus is a cowboy hat wearing idiot. He made the comment, on a show that few people listen to, where his guests are notably left-winged moonbats, and he's not smart enough to figure out how to keep his stupid locker room racist comments to himself, yet we're supposed to feel sorry for him?

This love-hate relationship between Imus and the Clinton's didn't just suddenly evolve last Friday.
