Jesse Jackson now demanding MSNBC and NBC hire some blacks.

This is getting old. He made the same demand yesterday of NBC noting they need to have black anchors to balance out their programming. Did anyone tell him that Imus' producer is black? Is the man colored blind not to see the many black local newscasters who have long held their jobs on ABCCBSNBC? Lori Stokes, who does the morning news on ABC, cannot put a sentence together without mangling it and should never have been given the spot.

Do we now demand white anchors balance out BET; discontinue Miss America Black Beauty pageant as it's divisive, or how about demanding real conservatives anchor newscasts for a change.

Definitely. It was a huge mistake for him to do that. Not long ago he would have told them to shove it. I was completely shocked he went this way.

Imus should go satellite radio with a conservative program cause he’s a liberal thats been mugged. And I don’t listen to Imus.

I don't listen to him either, but that's because I don't understand a word he says...he talks like he has marbles in his mouth.

I for one am not buying into this Hillary conspiracy nonsense. Hillary would have nothing to gain from it anyway.

On the business end, you're probably right. MSNBC was supposed to have dropped the "MS" from their logo over a year ago, because they were terminating their relationship with Microsoft under a mutual agreement.

MSNBC is a loss leader in the NBC/Universal empire.

Sowell’s a genius, Condi’s probably not “black” enough for Sharpton, etal, Cosby has done more to talk modern American blacks into sensibility than anyone.

Clarence Thomas...Ted Hayes....there’s a LOT of great men/women .... but as I said, Bill Cosby as a popular black icon, has done more to reach the youth of modern black America.

Remember, PD, Sowell and Condi and Thomas aren’t REACHED by the youth.

Cosby has made somewhat of a turn around. His wife,Camille, on-the-other hand, is a major liberal.

>>Mark these words. The day is coming when they will get out the long knives for your favorite. The blood is in the water, regularly.<<

Wow. Very dramatic. Now that I’m done marking your words, I should point out that I was merely observing that Imus has had lousy ratings for many years — which seems to be the case with all talk radio leftists.

And who’s the bearer of these long knifes you mention? The fact is, MSNBC didn’t drop Imus because of his Rutgers comments; rather, MSNBC lowered the boom solely because major sponsors were canceling ad spots. Had the advertisers not withdrawn their sponsorship, Imus’ boring show would still be simulcast on MSNBC — no matter how many people were offended by his moronic comments.

The bottom line is, Imus’ demise was the result of a business decision. As long as the government played no coercive role in it, I don’t care what happens to his show.

“So is Armstrong Williams, and he was calling for Imus to be fired.”

Is it okay for blacks to have different opinions?

It’s always a mistake to fall into the “hang your head in shame and apologize” route -— ask Trent Lott.

Nothing missed here! Imus is a schmuck! Always has been rude and nasty to all his staff and people he works with, he is just getting what he has coming and it’s long overdue.

Rosie should be next on the list!

I hope Imus is taking notes with all the cowardness surrounding his termination. The only sounds of outrage for his plight are from the likes of O’Reilly, Limbaugh, Hannity and Coulter. BTW has he heard from his “good friend” Harold Ford, Jr.?(sarcasm)

Yep. If it was all about his Rutgers comments, he wouldn't have been given a two week suspension in the first place. Advertisers started dropping their spots in the Imus timeslot, and MSNBC changed course.

The pressure came from the bottom line.

“”Some Freepers” could implicate Hillary in the sinking of the Titanic. Doncha know?”

Probably, but it is interesting that she has a place on her website where one can send words of encouragement to the Rutgers players.

BTW, your post is number “666”. I’m not saying, but....
