I suppose a governor's car likely travels with a trooper escort, perhaps a couple two or three of them? Is this to say that *both* the gov's vehicle and a trooper's vehicle were involved? They way Shep said it was that it was a two car accident, the Governor's SUV and a trooper car. He said nothing about a hit and run driver.

ABC6 in Philadelphia is reporting that Corzine was taken by helicopter to Cooper Medical Center, which is apparently in Camden. An injured state trooper who was also injured was taken to Atlantic City Medical Center.
Also, the motorcade was reportedly cut off, not necessarily hit, so the "fleeing" driver might not know what he or she did.

Ok, now Shep IS saying there was another driver, who is gone. Trooper being choppered out now. Geez...their alerts are driving me nuts these days.

Was that a news story about an auto accident, or a political press release from Kerosine’s office?

illegal aliens kill 12 Americans per day in vehicle crashes. Golly... if true that's almost, what? five percent? Maybe that might even be something that matters in this story. Or maybe not. That you have no idea is clear too. Maybe it was a drunk driver. Maybe it was a sober driver. Maybe it was a black. Maybe it was a mexican. Or worse... one of them dang Canadians. Maybe it was a mexican woman talking on a cell phone. to mexico.
LOL... is this the friday silliness thread?

FNC: Hit and run accident.Somebody forgot to follow the script.
There aren't "accidents" anymore, they're all "crashes" (unless it involves government employees or elected officials, of course).

CNN is reporting that Imus is to meet with the Rutgers player at the Gov. Mansion in NJ tonight.

“Because only illegals get in accidents?”
No, but illegals are more likely to flee, since the stakes are much higher for them.

With 97 percent of precincts reporting, Corzine had 53 percent to Forrester's 44 percent. they still only have 97% of precincts reporting? If so, this really really calls into question the already idotic calls to suspend the Electoral College.

Where do you get your statistics? I've heard that both murders and auto accidents by illegal aliens than war deaths overseas. But I haven't seen a reliable source.

You’re a far better person than I.
My prayers are for the Officer, as well as any worms or crawling things that might have been in the area at the time. Oh, and for the blades of grass that may have been hurt.
As for Corzine..... nothing but democrat a speed bump.

You don’t suppose Imus in a rush to reach the Rutgers players’ meeting cut-off the Government convoy? (just kidding)
Yes, the news reports are maddening. It sounds like the Governor was riding with a Tropper driver and both have been medivaced by helicopters. Shep emphasized the injuries are not life threatening. The hit-skip driver is in big trouble, if they ever find him, and that depends on if there was a collusion (paint samples, etc), whether cameras were in operation, etc..

I don’t like his politics, but I’m glad it’s not serious.
