That depends. If his first name is "Napi-hedded", we'll never get to here it on the air. There isn't a (working) radio/TV person who'd dare utter THAT phrase.
I don't necessarily agree because the place is huge, and there was no indication that the horror was going to spread. Again, you don't lock down an entire city block when there is a domestic dispute.
Frankly, there isn't any indication that locking it down would have made any difference. After all, the killer pushed his way into a crowded classroom. That's exactly where they would have been even if there had been a lockdown.
go to jail? no, I don’t think anyone is suggesting the university people should “go to jail”. this isn’t a question of personal criminal liability. its just mismangement and poorly thought out approach to this incident, which did nothing to protect the students.
I wonder if the shooter was taking antidepressants?

It’s pretty naive to begin with to expect campus cops to protect 25 thousand people. That’s why people should have the right to defend themselves and protect their fellow man from nutjobs.

They know who the shooter is by now. Wouldn't surprise me if the shooter was an Illegal Alien.
In my first dorm, that was a 25 year old Special Forces non-com just back from beautiful Southeast Asia, this being in the very early '70s.
Needless to say, not much ever happened on his floor.
He had killed 2 hours ago and was hiding/moving for 2 hours you say it like he was continously shooting for 2 hours.

A good comparison would be the first day of classes when they had a loose convict in the area. How did the staff and police react and what was the difference. I haven't looked into this yet, but if I was a lawyer for one of the victims, I sure would.

I can’t believe they are clueless about the identity of the shooter.
I just got home from seeing doctors and hadn't heard anything about this until I called my ex-husband to tell him what the doctors are thinking is wrong. Of course, my cable is on the fritz too and won't be fixed until tomorrow so the only place I'm able to get news is here on FR and the other websites.
My heart and prayers go out to all of the families affected by this. Thirty three so far with fifteen wounded? That's just so hard for me to wrap my mind around.
