The media knows what they are doing. There are times they hold all the cards and play their hand after they’ve gotten their talking points out there.
If this is a jihadist attack (or other hate crime) then the focus would not have been on “gun grabbing” which was the original knee jerk reaction. They’ll get their talking points out there by hook or by crook.
“NBC news, due to the complexity of the issue and the dijointed material will be analyzing and SHOWING THIS OVER THE NEXT FEW WEEKS...we want to take our time so you can fully understand this terrible event. Yes, it is true that we will make many millions of dollars by our slow release advertising strategy but we are here to inform you.”
In other words, complete spin control, in order to minimize anything he might have said that could be an embarassment to their liberal nostrums.
