My Brother’s & Sister’s Horrifying Choice
4-22-07 | Lloyd Marcus

Posted on 04/22/2007 7:05:51 AM PDT by Lloyd Marcus

I visited Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse in Florida, one of the tallest in the nation. I climbed to the top of the 175 foot tower. Though totally protected by a fence, a mild case of vertigo kept my back pressed against the hall while I enjoyed the spectacular view.

Then it hit me. On 9/11 thousands of my fellow Americans, who simply showed up for work, were faced with the unimaginable horrifying choice of whether to be consumed by fire or jump from the towers. Innocent moms, dads, sisters, brothers, sons and daughters clueless of the danger were tortured beyond belief and murdered while responsibly earning a living.

Suddenly, I was overtaken by a great anger; anger at the evil people who planned and carried out their heinous crime; anger at the treasonous Americans who side with evil and say we deserved what we got.

Some things should make us angry. Even Jesus got angry at the money changers in the holy temple. While nervously looking down from the top of that lighthouse, I caught only a tiny glimpse of the horrifying nightmare choice my fellow Americans were forced to make. It made me angrier than I’ve been in a very long time.

I vow to support our president and troops in the war on terror until the battle is won. I will accept nothing less than total victory over these vile servants of evil. And may God continue to bless America.

Harry Reid says we’ve lost against these vile ones, and thus is allowing it to happen again sometime in the future.

The terror for those people is really unimaginable.
Let us never forget.
God Bless our troops, God Bless GWB and God Bless America.

I fear the Dems will succeed in repatriating terrorism to our shores.

I climbed to the top of that thing a few months ago. It’s the second tallest lighthouse in the US behind one at Cape Hattaras. Beautifully maintained and an excellent vista of Ponce Inlet...

Thank you and Amen.

Evil must be defeated or else our whole country will turn into a killing field. What a shame politicians who travel for free to the war zone go for photo ops only and do not see evil our troops face every minute of their day. The Pharmaceutical lobbyists must give them good sample drugs!

What will Sen. Harry Reid say when Las Vegas is targeted by terrorists? How will Nancy Pelosi react when homicide bombers kill hundreds with car bombs in San Francisco?

I’m glad you’re on our side and I have a question. Do you have the means to protect yourself and others if the military or police aren't’ around to help?

In my case, it was buying a gun, getting the training and learning how to use it. I’m licensed to carry in my state of Texas and some other states that have reciprocity.

They’ll slink off and join the Neville “Fools-who-cause-world-wars” Chamberlain Club.

I had a friend who was trapped on the top floor of the MGM Grand (now Bally) fire in the early 80’s.

His company suite became a gathering place for many, and as time went on several of those became jumpers.

He was traumatized by it for many years.
