I’m excited too, and I only give him a B on the interview.

Nope.

It just makes more impact, stating it in that fashion.

Fred sounded impressed by the groundswell of support from the grassroots.

IMHO that is what he meant by “There is really something going on out there”.

Fred is running!

I hate to say this, but like Bill Richardson, Haley’s too fat to run for president. And he doesn’t seem youthful enough. Both men have the credentials, but they don’t have the charisma. Fred has the charisma in spades. I’m 90% sure I’m Fred Ready.

I was going to add "but Fred would make a better President", but I thought it'd be gratuitous.

I like Haley, and he probably deserves as much credit (as RNC Chairman) for 1994 as Newt, but I don't think he'd quite cut it as a Presidential candidate, either. I think he knows this, as he's repeatedly said he's not interested in running for President.

He'd make an interesting pick as a running mate for Fred Thompson. He's proven that he knows how to run a national campaign, and he's shown at least as much leadership in crisis as Rudy. However, the fact that Barbour and Thompson come from bordering states militates against the possibility of a Thompson/Barbour ticket.

I think the most patriotic thing Fred could do would be to declare his candidacy ON the 4th of July!!! Talk about firing up your constituents! :-)

Sure it would be very showy and patriotic, but I think early June is when he needs to do it.

No. Sean is so terrified that Hillary might have a chance he’s the founding member of the “ANYONE but Hillary” camp!!

BUT, that said, after tonight’s interview, Sean may be moving in the right direction!!

Did you miss his slam at the Republicans dirt-sniffing in Tennessee? He said that he expected the dirt-sniffing, but was surprised that it wasn't the democrats doing the sniffing. Was he talking about Rudy and/or McCain?

Actually, my money's on Romney, though I'm sure it isn't just one..

“I was literally dancing WITHOUT the announcement. My kids think I am losing it.”

Time to put ‘em to work. Children are very effective campaigners. Heck, I was licking envelopes for political candidates when I was 8.

I know folks like him here, but IMHO, Hannity doesn’t have the smarts to interview a goat.

Agree that Sean's not bright. I must say I was very disappointed that he didn't ask more questions that highlighted the differences Fred has with the rest of the Republican candidates.

Wait, you left the capital M off of MORON!!!!

What an idjut. “American wants someone who is passionate”—
didn’t we go through that crap with Bill Clinton?? Puleeze.
I’ll take steady and reliable over a phoney ‘passionate’ I any day!

Besides, I thought Fred was very passionate (but not in a phoney way) about the issues he spoke of tonight!
