Sure, we're all adults here... most of the time. :)

And besides, the truth is the truth.

I do not believe is a Freeper. Perhaps someone from his offiice lurks. I do believe you are being unfair and a flamer about Sean. He is NYC person and knows Rudy really well for years. What is this Rupert’s bidding thing all about?
Also, Dick Morris is also NYC person, lives in Redding CT but essentially an NYC insider. Like Washington DC insiders they all think alike.

>> “hick sounding twangs”?

> You sound so elitist.

Maybe he’s from that “wicked-good” part of the country, New England, eh-ya? You know... where they don’t have any accent.

Not sure which way to take that.

If you meant Fred and Rudy. Maybe.

If you meant Rudy and Fred. No dice!

I think it comes down to how Fred frames his campaign. Fred is a very astute man, and has never been known to, purposely, alienate his enemies. He just grazed over the words "democrats and republicans together" tonight. I look for more of that.
Not to say or mean that he will capitulate, but I feel he is smart enough to know that by pointing out, and stressing, what we have in common is more important than what we disagree on. In order to take the WH, we do need some dem votes, I don't think he'll poke 'em in the eye, while pulling their poll card outta' their pockets.
He'll make his stand, and his points, where he must, but, at the same time, he'll endeavor to bring us together as a whole Nation. If it can be done, in this day and age, Fred can do it.
For the first time in months, maybe even a year or two, I feel hopeful and "up".

Thanks for the pep talk, FRed!

:O)

P
RUN, Fred, Run, and Bring J.C. Watts with ya'!

It would be amusing, to say the least, if the season’s finale ended with everyone being called into his office to hear that announcement. ;)

That would be a real jawdropper, and I would loooove to see that all over the airwaves and the pundits sputtering all over themselves. It would be a thing of beauty.

But I'll settle for any kind of announcement. Really. I'm not picky. ;^)

Run, Fred, RUN!

>>Fred definitely gets it - he knows what our greatest threat is!<<

Romney has been saying the same @$#@ thing for months. He openly calls them jihadists. And so far, he’s talked in more depth and with more substance than Thompson has on the issue and on securing the border, as well. He flat out condemned McCain-Kennedy and came out with a MUCH improved strategy towards attracting legal immigrants (i.e. people with skills who actually pay for themselves).

It just amazes me how quickly Thompson has caught on here. I’m not criticizing Thompson or his supporters, really. I’m just scratching my head a little.

We have a proven executive who has displayed over and over again that he can run an operation better than just about anyone, be it an investment firm, an Olympic Games, or a state. An executive who hasn’t been afraid to veto Rat legislation (and pro-life legislation) over and over again. And an amazing speaker.

And we’re clamoring all over a SENATOR? (And I’ve heard the argument over and over again right herethat a Senator can’t win a presidential election).

I’ll probably be joining the Fred-heads before long. I’m just baffled. And I say that as a Tennesseean who has voted for Thompson.

I agree......he looks VERY Presidential! Plus, he’s a very natural speaker..plain spoken.

It takes more than that to be the leader of this nation. Granted, the attributes you mention are a plus.

Some libs already have their vote cast for Obama because "He sounds intelligent".

>> but he looks old and tired to me

> Fred has a pretty young wife and young children. Either that’s making him look tired or he’s not as old and tired as you think.

Reminds me of the joke about the guy visiting his Dad in the nursing home. He sees this real decrepit old codger shuffling at an energetic pace down the hall, and says “You’re doing pretty good there, fella. To what do you attribute your longevity?”

“Well, says the codger, I smoked 4 packs of cigarettes a day, drank a bottle of bourbon every evening, had wild sex parties all the time, and only slept two hours a night.”

“My gosh,” says the young man. “That is amazing for an 80-year old man!”

“80 years old?!” says the codger, “...why, I’m only 38.”

Uh, I was answering Ogie Oglethorpe in post 267. The Rupert connection is Ogie's hypothesis. I was merely asking Sean (or staffer if you prefer) to rebut.

I would be shocked if Hannity isn't a Freeper. I would also be surprised if the little toe-sucking spork weasel Morris doesn't lurk. Heck, he may have been zotted a few times for excessive Rudy-mongering.

I feel like Fred has the power to put the shame on the majority of these politicians just by giving them 'the LOOK'!

A grown up (compared to these seventh graders in charge of Congress right now) who commands respect. I love Dubya, but he doesn't *demand* respect with just his presence.

Fred does.

“That’s an interesting question from someone who spends most of their time on Duncan Hunter threads.”

ROFLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!

You sure are paranoid. It was a simple question that I was curious about.

I like Thompson, so far, but I like Hunter better. I would be thrilled, though, if it were Thompson, rather than the 3 front runners.

And how do you know that I spend time at the Hunter threads, unless YOU DO TOO!!

He so easily "could have", but he wanted to play nice with the left. That pretty much blew it, as I'm sure he finally understands.
