All I can say is, if Thompson runs and get's the nomination, I hope ALL republicans support him.
Just a side note, John Kennedy was a senator.
Actually ( correct me if I am wrong ) but, isn't the only requirements to run for president in the US is : you must be 37 years old, and a natural born US citizen ( I know, I know, that person must have some kind of experience, but, Ike was a US general ).
I wanted and supported Duncan Hunter, and if he get's the nomination, that would be great, but, that looks as of now his chances look slim.

I would expect the general election to come down to less than a 2-3% spread.

Thompson 51-52%
Gore 48-49%

If Hillary:

Thompson 54-55%
Clinton 45-46%

There'll probably be a third-party candidate in there somewhere, but with only a minor drain-off.

WE DON’T WANT A FIRE-BREATHING DRAGON .. we want someone who believes in America and in us. Morris is all wrong about how Fred appeared in the interview.

Yes. I believe he and his first wife were divorced even before he ran for the Senate. I think he met Jeri when he was in DC. She worked in some sort of capacity for the Republican party, or some group associated with the party.

While I agree with your remarks and sentiment I admit I do want a President who will cut through the nonsense of the MSM in a clear manner to get his message out. I think Fred is a conservative who can do this effectively.

Bush threw up the white flag a long time ago and consequently his message, effectiveness, and ability to govern has been wiped out by the constant stream we get out of the MSM today.

However, if you’ll look at the electoral map, you may notice that our twangs and drawls are a pretty good indicator of sound thinking. Surely you meant no disrespect.
