OPINION: Heck, I sure would like to know more about the guy who just wanted to say Hi to the pilot...just in case he wants to greet other pilots, of course.

“S. Korea, U.S. verifying reports on test of new N.K. missile in Iran: source”

WASHINGTON, May 15 (Yonhap)

ARTICLE SNIPPET: “”But we did obtain intelligence tips that the missile was test-fired in Iran. I understand that the intelligence communities of relevant countries are tracking down the information,” he said.

The missile, named “Musudan,” is believed to have been developed from the former Soviet Union’s SSN-6 model. Its range is estimated at around 4,000 kilometers.

The missile was first made public on April 25 at a parade marking the anniversary of the foundation of the North Korean military.

North Korea launched seven ballistic missiles on July 4 of last year, including an inter-continental Taepodong-2 that theoretically can strike the U.S. west coast.

The Musudan version is estimated to have a range longer than the Taepodong-1 but shorter than the Taepodong-2.”

Jihadists behead Thai Buddhist fruit picker, kill his wife, injure his three-year-old daughter

“Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers (in fight), smite at their necks...” (Qur’an 47:4).

Jihad against fruit pickers and toddlers. “Insurgents behead Thai-Buddhist, kill wife, injure daughter,” from DPA, with thanks to the Constantinopolitan Irredentist:

Pattani, Thailand - Separatist insurgents on Monday shot dead a Thai-Buddhist couple working as fruit pickers in the majority-Muslim area of Bannang Sata, Yala province and injured their three-year-old daughter, police said.

After gunning down Praphan Ponlarak, 36, and his wife Chaddakan, the assailants decapitated Praphan, making him the 29th victim to be beheaded in Thailand’s troubled deep South since the region’s separatist insurgency took a turn for the worse in January 2004. Their daughter was admitted to Bannang Sata hospital, 780 kilometres south of Bangkok, for treatment.

SUSPECTED ANSAR AL-SUNNA ADMINISTRATOR, NINE OTHERS DETAINED

BAGHDAD, Iraq – Coalition Forces detained 10 suspected terrorists Tuesday morning during raids targeting the Ansar al-Sunna and al-Qaeda in Iraq terrorist networks.

Coalition Forces operating in Mosul raided a building and detained one suspected terrorist. The individual is allegedly a senior leader in the Ansar al-Sunna terrorist group and provides weapons, documentation and financial support for the group’s criminal activities.

In another raid aimed at degrading the Ansar al-Sunna network, Coalition Forces detained six suspected terrorists in Fallujah who allegedly operate in eastern Anbar province.

Intelligence reports based on ongoing operations targeting al-Qaeda in Iraq senior leadership led to a Coalition Forces raid northwest of Taji, where three suspected terrorists were detained.

“The information we gain from these successful operations leads us one step closer to dismantling terrorist networks in Iraq and helping the Iraqi people,” said Lt. Col. Christopher Garver, MNF-I spokesperson.

Twenty people have been killed and 50 injured in a suspected chlorine bomb in Iraq’s Diyala province, police say.

A police spokesman in the provincial capital Baquba said doctors at a local hospital believed the nature of victims’ burns suggested poison gas.
