A Case Against Cheney (Ultra Barf Alert!)
The Washington Post ^ | May 2, 2007 | Richard Cohen

Posted on 05/02/2007 12:26:46 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

The resolution offered by the gentleman from Ohio reads sensibly. It alleges crimes high and low, misdemeanors galore -- all of them representing an effort to mislead the American people and take them into war. It is Dennis Kucinich's articles of impeachment directed at Dick Cheney. The vice president will, of course, deny being a liar. As long as Kucinich is at it, add that to the articles.

The congressman's case is persuasive, although his remedy may be too radical. He calls for Cheney to be impeached by the House and tried by the Senate, just as Bill Clinton was for what turned out to be neither a high crime nor much of a misdemeanor. What was it, anyway, compared with more than 3,300 American dead?

In his articles of impeachment, Kucinich details the many statements Cheney made that turned out to be factually wrong. For instance, he quotes Cheney as saying, "We know they [the Iraqis] have biological and chemical weapons," which of course, they didn't. Still, that was excusable, since it was early in the game and little contradictory evidence was being presented. As Condi Rice said Sunday, "When George [Tenet] said 'slam dunk,' everybody understood that he believed that the intelligence was strong. We all believed the intelligence was strong."

Richard Cohen is/was married to CNN's Paula Zahn.

Looked up Paula Zahn on Wikapedia on found this gem:

On April 3, 2007, Zahn announced that she is divorcing Cohen after 20 years of marriage. The news was associated with unsubstantiated rumors of a relationship with another man. [6]

Hummmmm

Still rewriting history, I see.

Obstruction of justice and committing perjury to a grand jury.

Not crimes at all......

Since Clinton was lying about “sex” it was okay.

But I thought Democrats took subjects such as sexual harrassment very seriously. And Bill was accused of harrassing behavior towards women.

Bottom line - if you have (D) after your name, it’s ok. If you have (R) after your name, then let the inquisition commence.

I never understood how the NOW crowd could still fawn over him after his harassing ways were fully exposed......how they could still stand with him.

I know a few that didn’t, but not many.

Yeah, it wasn’t like Bill Clinton raped THOUSANDS of women, just a few. And bought the silence of those who might testify against him with jobs and threats.

They stood with Bill because he had the right position on abortion, kill that sucker (it is evidence of adultery).

NOW’s stance on his sexual harassment and romance in the workplace (even consensual) were a 180 spin from traditional feminist politics. Used to be “wrong” if the boss was stuffing his sexy secretary even if she consented to those overnight trips and liked being chased around the desk.

“I never understood how the NOW crowd could still fawn over him after his harassing ways were fully exposed......how they could still stand with him.”

Probably the same way some women fall for men in prison. Even on death row.

‘Bad boy syndrome’

But in Cheney's case, the slam-dunking went on and on -- way past the point where it was possible anymore to believe him. He continued to insist that Saddam Hussein had high-level contacts with al-Qaeda -- " the evidence is overwhelming," he once said -- while others in the government not only knew that the evidence was not overwhelming but that it hardly existed.

Cohen's link: " the evidence is overwhelming,"

Cohen's own link does not refute Cheney.

Liberal think??

But no one who reads Kucinich's case against Cheney can fail to conclude that this is a rational, serious accusation. It's possible that each individual charge can be rebutted, but the essence of it is shockingly apparent: We were being manipulated.

So. If every statement in the thesis is false, then the thesis must be true??

Shades of Dan Rather!! More Truthiness

I never understood how the NOW crowd could still fawn over him after his harassing ways were fully exposed......how they could still stand with him.

There is an answer to the question but few people can receive it.

Supernatural evil exists. Since the misogynistic Taliban and lesbian man hating NOW are totally devoted to Satan they find common cause. They both hate Bush.

If Bill Clinton demeaned women then that’s OK because he’s on the same team as the rest of the forces of darkness. It wasn’t the Bad Boy Syndrome in the sense you mean. The NOW ladies would much prefer Hillary to Bill.

Everything in the liberal agenda is EVIL.

Partial birth abortion
Homosexual indoctination in gradeschools
Pornography is protected speech but Valedictorians can’t mention God
High taxes makes people slaves to the state.
The entire infotainment industry promotes evil and falsehood
The welfare state destroys families and individual character

Try to find anything virtuous in liberalism.

If you try to make sense of liberalism without understanding that it’s evil, you’ll always marvel at the contradictions.

It should give us pause that the Devil seems to be very interested in gun contol.
