This can be applied to a few limited addresses also. We looked at a house, one we liked, but it’s address was ‘666’,
I know it was silly, but we walked away. Just did not want to deal with that perception of a potentially bad omen.

Some friends of my Parents moved to New Hampshire years ago, and while their house was being built, the rented an old farmhouse on “Purgatory Road”. It was around Peterborough, I think. I still laugh about it.

That is not silly in the least. There is absolutely no way I would consider living in such a house. Even if it wasn’t an omen, whenever anything went wrong, you’d always wonder if it was because of “the number”.

In the Chinese neighbourhoods around Toronto there are some amazing bargains are to be had on houses with numbers that the Chinese consider “unlucky”.
