This weekend started out slow, but busy. We arrived at Walter Reed early Friday evening to start setting up for the BBQ. More on the Walter Reed Freep is forthcoming by BillF.
Since BufordP is so elusive this weekend (he's on a secret Haliburton mission), he sent "Flat Buford" in his place.
BELOW: At Walter Reed Friday night, the ever elusive, ever exclusive, "Flat BufordP" seemed everywhere, but mostly he just hung around. It is believed he helped tgslTakoma do some cooking because he did not bum a cigar or two from Jimmy Valentines Brother or [Mr] Trooprally tonight.
BELOW LEFT: The actual GoE II event on Saturday saw "Flat BufordP" being his ever 'get-in-your-way' helpful self. Here he is under the GoE tent before it kicked off. BELOW RIGHT: Helping TrueBlackMan hold down Kristinn's props during Kristinn's Speech. Kristinn's and TrueBlackMan's speeches were the most uplifting that we've heard in a while.
BELOW LEFT: The ever brash, ever boastful "Flat BufordP" sitting on a RT bike. BELOW RIGHT: The ever vigilant "Flat BufordP" watching over some of the RT bikes as punishment for sitting on the RT bike.
BELOW LEFT: The ever loud, ever sour-toned "Flat BufordP" singing a duet. BELOW RIGHT: The ever smart, ever smuffing "Flat BufordP" trying to bum a cigar off [Mr] Trooprally. But [Mr] T ignored him since signs don't have hands or a mouth.
BELOW LEFT: The ever cuddly, ever cute "Flat BufordP" hanging with Coop. BELOW RIGHT: The ever energetic, ever enthusiastic "Flat BufordP" sitting with tgslTakoma and daughter of tgsl after helping to hand out our FR buttons and flags.
As with all dis-organizations, the little man always has to suck up to the little-BIG MAN. BELOW LEFT: [Mr] Trooprally is sucking up to "Flat BufordP" at our post-GoE get together at the Mongolian BBQ in Bethesda. [Mr] T is fearing for his position at this very moment because he didn't offer that ever cute and cuddly teddy bear of a man, "Flat BufordP", a cigar. After his suck up, [Mr] Trooprally could be heard muttering to himself as he slaps himself on the side of his head, "Do teddy bears smoke cigars? Oh me, Oh my, I'm in trouble now." BELOW RIGHT: The rest of the FReepers sucking up to "Flat BufordP" in a group picture. No back row for this ever celebrated celebrity.
EAGLES are tough old birds. :-)
Cigars,..... Be sure you read last Fridays Walter Reed Report. 3 of 4 of us verbally engaging the moonbats while smoking cigars.
Although I read the AAR, I experienced it as I was the blonde standing there behind the bus with you and the other cigar smokers. I did my best to join in the fun with my Kools.
[Mr] Trooprally
we verbally engaged the moonbats
I especially enjoyed the short conversation with the one fool who thought he would impress me by stating that he was a 4 year navy vet. He dissapeared immediately once I informed him that I was a 25 year retired Navy vet. Heck, I had more time in the head than he had in the Navy.
Hubby wishes to thank all those who were adult supervision and kept me out of jail. :-)

I had hoped to make the trip but could not. Do you know about how many people were there? I didn’t hear much in the media about pro-troop rallies. What a surprise. But those who made the effort to be in DC and stand up for America are to be commended.
I was in DC for Memorial Day weekend in 2003 and seeing those thousands of Rolling Thunder folks was quite impressive. Glad to know these patriots are on the side of the good guys.
There were a lot of tourists that stopped a while and listened to the speeches at the top of the steps, where I spent most of my time.
But the patriotism in the air was thick. Every where you looked there were flags, many signs supporting the troops or berating the libs.
No where was a moonbat to be seen. That was one of the best parts of GoE II. We did not have to put up with the moonbats.
Just an overall relaxing day, remembering our honored fallen, giving tribute to our active duty troops and our brave Vets. Great day all around.

Good catch on the tagline ... its Fred All The Way!!!
