I searched for this and didn't see it posted -- I am so upset. What do we have to do to get through to this putz?!?!? And what is with this "de facto amnesty" line -- do they think we can't see through that? I am almost in tears, I am so frustrated with what we loosely call the "leadership" of the GOP. Bunning sounds like he has his head on straight at least. But how can I keep supporting a party that just doesn't care what I think? How many faxes and phone calls does it take to get through to these idiots?

There is something going on under the radar that the American public is not privy to.

I wish I knew what it was.

Hey Mitch, here’s a novel concept: Try enforcing the laws that you whores have already passed. Otherwise, kiss my ass as I do my best to have you voted out of office, scumbag.

a de facto amnesty if you will for those who are already here.”

This is McCainspeak. McConnell and Lott will vote for the bill. They just have to finesse the cloture issue.

It’s looking more and more like the only option is going to be the one that nobody wants to contemplate. There is a solution and it’s written in the Constitution itself. Will it happen though? If the powers that be continue down this path and it tears the country apart, they will have only themselves to blame. We will be facing another Civil War.

This is not over yet. Bush refuses to give up this easily. It's his stubborn character. He will try to resurrect it and call it something else. We have to keep our guard up. We need to keep the pressure up.

STAGE TWO is to go after the people who hire illegals. Start giving them fines and arresting them. Just catch ten or 100 of them on the nightly news. The magnet will dry up and most of the 12 million will go home by themselves.

As an addendum, we should anonymously call the IRS, people working "off the books" means taxes ain't being paid. Make anonymous fliers and hang them around the neighborhood, name names. It's time to embarrass these bustards, whether they give to the GOP or Rats, we don't need them.

STOP AMNESTY NOW!! WE CAN DO IT!!

CALL! CALL! CALL! CALL! AND KEEP CALLING TILL THE LINES FRY!

WRITE! WRITE! WRITE! WRITE! TILL YOU RUN OUT OF INK IN YOUR PEN!

Bombard the Democrats as well, especially the ones that ran on an anti illegal immigration plank and the ones in marginal districts who could be vulnerable. keep pounding on them. This is a bipartisan issue not a Conservative or Liberal issue BUT AN AMERICAN issue.

Starting tomorrow, it’s time to blitz McConnell’s with calls.

He needs to hear from us that the reason we have an illegal alien problem is not for lack of laws, but for lack of enforcement. Another law, nor matter how ‘comprehensive’ will not lead to more enforcement. With history as our guide, we can confidently say that it will most likely lead to LESS enforcement.

Bombard McConnell with those phone calls.

“I think the status quo is indefensible,” McConnell said. “The status quo is what’s produced 11 or 12 million illegal immigrants in the country with no real plan—a de facto amnesty if you will for those who are already here.”

They status quo is amnesty so they want to pass a law giving them amnesty. Genius....

We have reached the surreal in American politics, the active subjugation of the Republic by our REPUBLICAN leaders. But the big question we should be discussing is WHY? Some theories I’ve heard:

- Bush is sentimental about his Hispanic nurse-maids, and wants to bring in between 50 to 120 million Mexicans in honor of his memories of them.

- Bush is toadying up to the fatcats who own farms, convenience stores, chicken-processing plants, construction companies and lawn services to enrich them at our expense.

- Bush believes in the North American Superstate of Canada, the US and Mexico - and is implementing this plan in piecemeal fashion - first by intermingling US and Mexican populations. The rest of the plan would go down much easier after this nation-dissolving step. http://www.spp.gov/

Which theory makes the most sense? Or, are there other theories out there?

Uh, the "status quo", Senator, is that immigration laws already on the freaking books ARE NOT BEING ENFORCED. Therefore, ANY BILL that you and your cronies pass is simply a new punchline to an old joke. A very UNFUNNY punchline.

Sorry to yell, but this is really frustrating.

I cannot believe this coming out of McConnell. It isn’t the status quo that produced millions of illegals, it’s the fact the borders were not addressed with sufficient backing of existing laws to prevent the invasion. A failure of McConnel and Company to be specific.

I called both Bob Corker and Lamar Alexaner (TN) today, thanking them for their no vote, and that I continue to oppose any form of amnesty.
