Aide basically said if the bill is the same as before, he will not vote for cloture. BUT if new amendments are introduced he may vote for cloture

I told the aide who I was, that I had donated to the Senator in the past and also voted for him. I am fully against this bill, no matter what. That why should another bill be passed when no laws on the books are being enforced.
He said he would pass along my thoughts to the Senator.
Not exactly the way I was hoping to find Coleman on this, and I will be calling again.

Call him back. That is BS. They CAN’T ADD AMENDMENTS UNTIL CLOTURE IS INVOKED AND THE BILL COMES TO THE FLOOR. They could at least have the decency to get their stories straight.
I’ll call Monday and thank him...I still am not happy he took so long to listen to the voice of his base. Guess enough of us said we weren’t voting for him in 08 if he votes for amnesty to get his attention.
