What constitutes a legitimate reason for a revolution? My answer to that would be: when the issue threatens the destruction of a country and all legal and reasonable efforts to correct the problem meet failure.
We will all lose with a revolution. As it is, American citizens have succeeded, so far, to keep this bill from passing. Proponents of the bill have lost all credibility; nothing they say in it's favor, e.g., Bush's promise of a permanent ban on illegals, only reinforces our disbelief. His carrot and stick approach is pathetic, ridiculous.
His presidency ends in Jan. '09. The "permanent ban" promise has a short life, if it even were to get a life.

These “other parts” include a guest worker program that illegal immigrants currently in the United States would be able to join by applying for a renewable “Z” visa and paying fines.
Bush stated the above in the story above. It greatly troubles me. What are the “other parts of the bill that will go into effect? When and who decides the Z-Viss is s go? More hidden agenda. I for one DO NOT TRUST them! BUMP
Though I'm in a northern state, the do-nothing-to-stop-it attitude of the federal gov't in regard to illegal aliens infuriates me. I sympathize with those living in border states who also object.
But then there are those who are ok with illegal infiltration. The border states of Texas, California and New Mexico provide in-state tuition to illegals, in effect, favoring their "rights" over those of U.S. citizens.
Of course you are right. I know we have to stop the flow from everywhere.
That is just it, we have laws on the books that they don't enforce or fund now.
What makes us think they will enforce and fund future bills that become law?

That's how I look at it all. And, at least for now, Ron Paul's got my vote. He wants nothing to do with the Council on Foreign Relations, the NAU, the trans-corridor, or any other globalist agenda. If there's enough of us doing our part, maybe something will change.

It is amazing to me how much *GREED* has come into the lives of so many, here, in our country.
I know a man in our little town who built a two million + dollar house, with landscaping straight out of Better Homes and Gardens. He brags that he built (and landscaped) it for way under one million - thanks to the illegals he hired to do the work.
