And he surrendered his military power with the idea that it would make the UK seem less threatening. With all the hoopla about multi-culti, isn’t there someone on his staff to advise him that such a move will only be seen as a sign of ultimate weakness by those other cultures??? Is France moving to the right of the UK? Maybe it is their turn to considering blowing up their end of the chunnel to contain the idiots on the other side.

If you measured Brown against Blair, Churchill, Thatcher and John Major for leadership values...Brown would barely get a “5”. Churchill peaks out at a perfect “10”, with Thatcher around a “9”, with Major and Blair coming up with “8”. My prediction is that Brown lasts 18 months at best before a election is forced up...and we see at least two quick prime ministers run and both fail quickly.
Well, I could see a case for not calling the Muslims, so long as the alternative was to call the Mohammedans or Moslems, both of which designate the same group, but are offensive to them, since the first draws attention to the human origin of their religion, while the latter derives from an Arabic word related to Muslim, but which means one who oppresses, rather than one who submits.
Other useful alternatives are Saracenes, barbarian hordes, . . .
