Republican presidential candidate John McCain accepted the resignations of two of his top aides today in a stunning shakeup of a campaign that has been roiled by financial and political problems.

Campaign manager Terry Nelson and chief strategist John Weaver issued terse statements announcing their departures from the McCain camp, which reportedly came after the candidate erupted after concluding that his top-level advisers had mismanaged the operation.

An angry McCain reportedly confronted Weaver and Nelson about the campaign's operations, particularly the amount of money that was being spent even when it was clear funds were tight. The final confrontation, coming after McCain returned from a visit to Iraq over the weekend, ultimately led to their departures, according to sources......."

If he wins the election I'll just stay in Canada a few more years and pray that there is a country left to return to when Romney and the RINO herd is through it.

Please go now. Of course that won't spare Freeperland from reading the inane anti-Romney rantings you seem to have in abundant supply.

Based on your tagline in conjunction with your previous post that Romney is somehow going to drop out soon simply shows that your complete hatred of Romney does not allow rational analysis.

John McCain has alienated everyone-—he alienated conservatives with his “gang of 14” and with the McCain-Feingold stuff

he alienated liberals by being so gung ho on Iraq

he alienated everyone else with his shameless attempts at pandering to both sides

even the people who liked him when he was a “maverick” in 2000 now realize he is just another stuffed collar who will say anything for votes

in short,he has no chance. not at all. he might as well drop out now and save himself further embarrassment

honestly, I am no McCain fan, but I have never seen any evidence that his conduct in Vietnam and as a POW was anything but honorable....

he recieved unique attentions because his grandfather and his father were both full Admirals, and his father was the CinC Pacific Command of the US Navy during much of the Vietnam War. To the best of my knowledge, because of this the NVA was willing to exchange him in return for something at the time of his capture but McCain refused to be paroled ahead of anyone captured before him. He served like 4 years in a POW camp when there was a possibility that he could have gotten out after a few months.

now, as a politician I dislike the man. He tries to pander to everyone for votes and recognition— conservatives, liberals, moderates and the news media all at once. But it was in Washington, not Vietnam, that he first sold out

Great post, thank you. There are many layers of commie commissions and their “stakeholders” being funded right now, and I don’t think Joe Q. Public realizes how many legislatively mandated agencies he’s funding to legislate policy to legally restrict JQP’s freedom, his earnings, his water, etc. Just read California’s Global Warming Act of 2006 yesterday and it mandates a commission of some sort be formed to create regulations and policy around global warming - old Nunez made sure “minorities” and “the poor” get some socialistic love in there, too.

It’s really time for McCain to see the White House isn’t part of his future. He could take the high road and tell the fawning press that he has managed to alienate his base on the most important issues of the era. Since that is so, and can’t be reversed without a stretch to credibility, it’s time for him to move on.

McPain shot his wad in previous runs.

People are obviously UNIMPRESSED and TIRED of him.

As he goes through his melt down, people will see that they would NEVER want a candidate like THIS to be President. He’s chowing his true childish colors and lack of maturity as his campaign winds down.

McAmnesty could just get a couple of “undocumented immigrants” to do the job cheaper. Especially since it doesn’t seem to be a job that most Americans are willing to do. :)

We all knew McCain was burnt toast from the very beginning. The media are willfully stupid to be that blind.
