I have a DeLorean. This is great news. Spare parts should be easier to get and the value of my version should go back up, I would think.

The original had quality control problems. By building them by hand one at time, the new owners hope to avoid them. It could be a niche toy for car collectors.

It’s beautiful, but good luck in getting it over a speed-bump. :)

"Whos selling the suitcases full of cocaine this time around?"
Same answer as last time - Your own US Federal Government
BIG "DeLorean is the Man" BUMP!!!
I shake my head at the lame cocaine jokes directed at such a man as Delorean, the damn father of the Pontiac GTO fer gawdsakes!
If these limp richards want to sling accusations around, as you said Lloyd, they need look no further than the U.S. InJustice Department.
Ironic isn't it, that a transplanted Brit is the resurrecting the DeLorean in Houston Texas of all places.

The reborn DeLorean commands $57,000. Does that include the cocaine?

I think this is great news. Not only for the car but for the U.S. Here’s hoping our country embraces this venture. I would love to see our country go back to doing what it does best—build and grow everything for themselves. We do not have a service nation mentality. We need to be busy accomplishing something we can go home at night, put our feet up and feel satisfaction at a days work.

Like years past ... if you had a Harley, you'd better have a pickup truck to transport it after breaking down on highway.

Not a success when they made 25 years ago, overweight and under powered.
Go to had it to the guy that bought all those parts though, probably for pennies on the dollar.

Five U.S. dealerships and one in Europe to sell 12 - 24 cars per year at $57,000 per...built mostly from old parts?
Doesn’t seem to add up.

I want one with a flux capacitor then I’ll buy it. It’ll be a steal at $25000.

Unlike some classic cars, time has not been a friend to the Delorean. Those awkward-looking bumpers really date it. There are no sexy curves, just angular sheet metal.
The faults you list are some of the reasons that I have always wanted a Delorean - it is, and always has been, unne-que.
If a Model “T” Ford had gull wings then I would fall for it also. I will admit that I even owned a Pacer hatch back at one time - strong little dumpling. Was in envy of my brothers Studebaker Golden Hawk even though the fuel tank fell off of it in route one day.

Are the Flux Capacitor and Mr. Fusion options or do they come standard?

A friend of mine had a ‘70 Duster with a 340. The car was a complete freak, never saw anything like it. Completely stock but the thing was a lightning bolt. Personally, I liked my ‘70 SS454 Monte Carlo. GM made very few of those. Those were the days.

How can you tell if a Delorean has gone down a road ... the white line is gone... I wonder if the "rebate" can still be found in the trunk?

How much extra for the gasoline/lightning hybrid version? I doubt that I can afford Mr. Fusion, but it would be nice to save gas money during a thunderstorm.

I liked the DeLorean, the PRV engine is still a good motor, had two Peugeot 505s with the V6, was a strong performer.
Using new old stock bothers me a bit. Ok for sheet metal and hard parts if they were stored correctly, but some other parts could be problematic.
But does that make them “new”?
The design is a bit dated also.
