Well, it looked cool. As sports cars go, it was a dog. It had 2 major flaws; overweight & underpowered.
That said, I wish this new endeavour good luck.
You’ll have to talk to Doc Brown about that...maybe he can get you a deal.
So you buy a warehouse full of old car parts because it’s such a great deal...then you start thinking “I wonder if I assemble these parts if I can sell cars *and* parts to the public?!”

Yes, but it’s the only car that has enough stainless steel in its body to assist the Flux Capacitor achieve time travel.
The Delorean’s time has come and (thankfully) gone.
It was more of a technology testbed than a reliable, capable production vehicle.
The technology has long been superceded and the looks have faded rather ungracefully.
How are they going to make a profit selling two $57,000 cars per month? 114k per month sounds like a lot until you factor in parts, labor, rent, insurance, warranty costs....
It’s either a hobby or a financial disaster.
He’s actually been rebuiding the Delorean (in three levels) for some time now. You can get a complete rebuild, a partial refit or repair, depending on your price tag.
I agree. It is not really an attractive car IMO.
A DB9 is way better but it’s not exactly close to 57k in price.
We had a little Dodge Omni with an R&D low-rpm supercharger on it. You should have seen the guy’s face when we accelerated past a Corvette in it!
That new Challenger will make an excellent low-cost drift-car.

Nonsense, it isn’t heavy, though I agree the engine isn’t big. It’s pretty sprightly, and corners like a dream.
Years ago when visiting NASA in Houston there was a DeLorean in the parking lot with license plates that read “SPCMAN” or something close.
My kids were thrilled to see the BTTF car.
Body lines look a whole lot like F-22 Raptor, rather “stealthy”.
You an't just a kidding. unless he is manufacturing under the original certs, it is my understanding that any production car has to pass emissions. If it passes, you can't make ANY changes to the engine config, once it is tested.
Ok, he is going to try to use another powerplant? I do not think he has the resources, unless my understanding of the regs are completely off.
Perhaps he can make a three wheeled version to fall under the Motorcycle regs, like the "TriHawk"....
I like Deb S's writing, but for the cool factor, there are so many other "retro" cars she could glom onto. The Lotus Super Seven clones for starters......

My point is that when it comes to luxury cars, there are far better choices for whatever money you choose to spend. You can buy an Aston Martin from the 1960s and it looks sexier than a Delorean. A more comparable example for a modern car might be a Lexus Sports Coupe or a Corvette, which are far better looking than the Delorean which looks like it was made from leftover AMC parts. There are even less expensive cars that look better and perform better as well. The only thing the Delorean has going for it is a tie-in with some movies that were popular in the 1980s.
You dog! Showing me that picture is like putting cocaine in front of a crack addict. Looks like the kid is gonna have to settle for Junior College.
