Didn't see this posted. While that skirt is pretty short, I've seen similar clothing often while flying --particularly during the summer or in warm environments.

Here's the woman and outfit in question:

Skirt is too short. My 1st grader’s teacher tells the girls “If the ends of your fingers are longer than the end of your skirt, it is inappropriate.” Good advice.

Nice outfit.

Did they make her give up her Lucky Strikes and her bottle of Boone's Farm too?

I'll bet the folks back at the trailer park are jest furious.

I've flown Southwest -- sorry, but they are the last folks to be lecturing on *appropriate clothing for plane flight.*

Can you say bubbleheaded slut? Bubbleheaded skank? How come her indignant mother didn’t tell it was “inappropriate” to work as a Hooter’s skank???

Damn! I wish all the women wore mini skirts (under a certain weight limit of course) on my flights! What is wrong with some “eye candy”?

The outfit is tacky, and she looks a bit trampy, but I wouldn’t throw her off a plane. I wonder if there is more to this story than we are being told. As an aside, why is this even news? Why doesn’t she just sue Southwest and get it over with. It’s pretty obvious that this is where this is headed anyway.

Not according to a Southwest employee identified only as “Keith,” who approached Ebbert after she had taken her seat on the plane and was listening to the flight attendants go through their pre-departure routine.

Would anyone like to theorize that "Keith" might have, at some point, defected to the other team?

Here's the woman and outfit in question:

A more appropriate cure for a fear of flying then benzodiazepines could ever hope to be IMO. ; )

I see the problem.

Her clothing failed to cover her face.

Check out the distance from the button on the waistline of the skirt to the hem. Also, it looks like she is wearing the skirt a little low in the picture. If she was wearing it a couple of inches higher, then I think the airline made the right decision. There isn’t a lot of fabric between the button and the hem.

I’d like to see her in just the skirt and blue-green top, minus the T-shirt. Yummy!

Could Mom stand up as well so we can get a gander at her?

Looks to me like she’s shoved the skirt down so low towards her knees, that her Mom is probably looking at her exposed derrière. The waist of the skirt appears to be below her hips, and the top appears to be stretched down to cover any possible midriff exposure in her re-enactment of her wardrobe.

IMHO, the same outfit could have been hiked up to her waist and midriff exposed from the elastic top and sweater used to accentuate curves, to yes, be about as provocative as she could contrive without simply going naked.

IMHO, I’ve seen more nude photos that expose less than she might by wearing that outfit after placing a few items in her overhead compartment.

I have to side with SW Airlines on this one.

For anyone that things this is ok public attire look again.

See the belt-loops on that thing? Now see where her waist is? (hint it is the narrowest part below her shirt) Now you should also note that the total height of the skirt wait to fringe is the same or less than the distance to her navel from the top of the skirt. She has that thing pulled WAY WAY down. Which means on the plane, taking into account how it is meant to be worn, that shirt was probably 3-5 inches higher.

She should find out who complained and sue them and Southwurst. No doubt it was some bozo connected with one of the Imans from CAIR headquartered in Tucson

It’s like OJ Simpson and the glove that wouldn’t fit. The button for her denim miniskirts is BELOW her crotch, with her shirt pulled all the way down to do the actual task of covering her crotch. If you pull that mini up to just below her navel, her genitals will be in full display.
